I will always come back here when in Pitigliano. I ate tagliatelle al ragu di anatra (homemade flat fresh pasta with duck sauce) and lamb cooked until tender in a red sauce with the Rosemary herb and potatoes!!! For dessert I hat sweet soft local ricotta cheese covered in caramel. What impacted me was not just the great quality of... More

Hostaria del Ceccottino is located in the Pitigliano old city at the end of Via Roma. The restaurant sits beautifully at the back of the Piazza San Gregorio VII next to Duomo di Pitigliano. I have been to this restaurant several times, most recently in November, when I had a delicious tagliolini with bottarga course. I've had a chance to... More

Good, honest food. The pasta with truffle was really nice. We took the lamb and the wild boar: they were both excellent. They also have a really nice wine-list. In a low season we were fortunate to encounter this restaurant.

Really good service, very friendly and helpful staff that speak english also. The restaurant offer slow food and all the foods we ordered were awesome, delicious and in good portion and presentation. We're glad to find this place after our long drive in Italy, and Pitigliano is our last stop, we are so glad that we had our last dinner... More

Beautiful setting. Perfectly cooked lamb and rabbit. Reccomend the truffle pasta and the filled nettle and ricotta ravioli. Child friendly!

we had a dinner in this restaurant during our holiday in Italy and had a nice time. The location and the setting are the highlight but also food and service were very good even though a bit overpriced for italy. Overall a very nice experience.

Excellent food, good gluten free pasta (two in our family are allergic) , Good atmosphere and friendly service from very observant waiters. The price level are a bit over average for the town, but every bit worth it. Situated in the old town quarters by the church, it also have good seating inside.

We had lunch in this restaurant during our 1-week holidays in Tuscany and Umbria. This was the best restaurant of our holidays. The food is delicious. I would definitely recommend the lamb and the ragou.

Pitigliano was the first Tuscan hill town we saw in our drive up from Rome. It has a spectacular vista from across the ravine. The tufa caves are amazing as well as the town's history. We did not think about eating here but we were so glad that we found del Ceccottino. Charming atmosphere and delicious locally sourced food. It's... More

Very nice restaurant in the middle of the old town of Pitigliano. Nice service even if they were very busy. I had a very good buffel mozzarella, with very tasty tomatoes. And their boar ragout really good. As dessert we had homemade tiramisu so good. Nice winelist with lots of local wines.
