We stayed at a local hotel and on this particular evening in July 2016 the hotel was hosting an event. It was my wife's birthday and we did not want to take part in the hotel event so we asked the front desk if there was a restaurant close enough to walk to. The hotel front desk person suggested ll... The restaurant is small but beautiful. The views are spectacular and the staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. Traditional food at its best, well presented and served with Italian enthusiasm. I have visited on several occasions previously, but today I chose Ravioli Caprese. It was 'Italy in pasta parcels'. Something to be remembered in the cold English winter months. Don't... More

Way too much food, which was all very well prepared and presented. Was full after the appetizer and pasta course and should have quit then. But, oh no! Ate everything.

Really great owners who explained the menu and helped find an option for our daughter who has a strong egg allergy. Fabulous homemade wine. Clean plates all round. We went on a dark evening in October so didn't get to take in the view but I'm sure sitting outside in summer would be gorgeous!

I really liked this place for the friendliness of the proprietor and his son. The food, unfortunately, was only so so. The lamb was tough, the prawns were good but the cream sauce too fishy. The meat plate was lacking in taste and tenderness. But I would come here again because of the graciousness of the hosts.

Fabulous restaurant with panoramic views over the bay of Salerno. Owner and son offered very good service and we had a delicious lunch with wines and liqueurs. The owner collected us from our hotel in Sant Agata and dropped us back after our lunch - what service!!

This restaurant is very special! We have been lucky enough to visit this place on many occasions when we have stayed at Santa Agata. ( June 2015, 2016 and Oct 2016) Firstly, the family that own it are truly special. Luigi, Maria Rosa & Giacomo. Service is always relaxed, welcoming & attentive. The food is out of this world -... My family and I have traveled to Italy twice now. Both times residing in beautiful Sorrento. Il Fienile is one of the best restaurants. The food is outstanding, amazing service and family owned. The owner of the restaurant and head chef was so kind and so welcoming to us. He even took my grandmother on a little tour to see... More

We had planned to eat here for our wedding anniversary ,based on trip advisor reports and were not disappointed. We were collected and returned to our hotel with no delay and the food and house wine were wonderful. The outstanding part of my meal was the anti pasti of marinaded salmon, swordfish and prawn which exceeded my expectations both in... More

Description
The restaurant "Il Fienile" is located in Massa Lubrense, near Sant'Agata sui due golfi. Inaugurated in June 2012 after having restructured an old barn of family. Surrounded by nature and overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, is the perfect location for a dining experience full of healthy eating and relaxation. Fruits and vegetables directly from the garden, fresh fish of the sea and local meats cooked with wisdom and creative chef Luigi, also master of hand-made pasta and desserts. We also produce olive oil, wine and some digestive as blueberry, limoncello and finocchietto. Do not hesitate to satisfy special dietary requirements (vegetarian, celiac or any personal preference).
