Great spot for a roti snack! On the main road to Unawatuna Beach from Matara Rd, it’s a great spot for a roti snack with plenty of options -sweet or savoury, fruit filled or meat filled. I had the egg and tomato roti and it...was the perfect light lunch before heading to the beach. It’s made fresh to order, and was so warm and delicious. Staff was super friendly as well!More

This place is always busy and there is a good reason for it. The food is fast and simple yet absolutely delicious. Very cheap easy eats. You won’t be disappointed. Roti’s are there specialty but I ordered the Shashkuba and it was ammmmazing! Staff super...friendly. A great little place they have!More

We found this on our first night when we were tired and just wanted a simple meal. The staff are very friendly and we went back each day for a light lunch in this very friendly and laid back venue. Just what we enjoyed. And...when I asked if they had coconut water they said no, but immediately went across the road and bought a coconut. At the end of the meal it wasn’t even on the bill, so I had to add it. Great attitudeMore

The place is not that much clean. I went to the kitchen & it was a mess. The owner & the workers were not that much supportive. They have so many different kinds of roti types. But the price is too much expensive. Not worth.

Very cheap and very nice food , the lads who run it are good bunch , more of a snack place than a main meal type of thing Would definitely eat here again

Roti Prata is an Indian flatbread that is eaten with different sauces, and the specialty of Roti Shop, a Singaporean-Malaysian restaurant in Rockwell. My Mom and I tried the best selling Roti Prata Special with Chicken Curry, and all I can say is that the...delicacy isn’t something I’d crave for again and again. The taste was okay and quite close to the real thing though. The same thing can be said for our dessert, the Banana and Chocolate Roti. Roti Shop is barely a month old so the service is still quite slow. Prices of the food are reasonable, and the waiters have a good knowledge of the menu and will easily give recommendations to curious customers. I think Roti Shop has a sister restaurant next door named Kaya which I have yet to confirm.More

This "restaurant"get a mention in the Lonely Planet guide. We gave it a try at lunch time trying different savoury roti's. We found the food to be good but not exceptional. All right for a snack. Would recommend giving it a try

A must visit for cheap, rustic and authentic food in Unawatuna. Very unassuming little cafe on the side of the road but worth the stop. Would return daily. roti’s made to order right in front of you.
