It's not often I go to the pub to watch a football match, but I was visiting friends, one of whom is a big MUTV fan and wanted to see the match with his son and another friend. They're regulars here when my friend is back home. They serve decent ale and the ambience was good. Food menu looked good... More

Our friends' local, we came here with them last weekend. The children played pool in the separate pool room which they thought was cool, while the adults drank in the bar. The regulars and staff made us all very welcome. Lots of sport being shown on the 3 tvs if you like that sort of thing!

we had a lunch on sunday which was so bad, the chicken was called roast but it had never seen the inside of a cooker, plus it was still red around the bone, the batter pudding was still frozen inside, such a shame when the other eating places around them are so busy

Last minute call to book for Sunday lunch...it was splendid, beautifully cooked and served, interesting starter choice and GREAT roast beef! We loved it. The service was very friendly and atmosphere great...so good that we have booked to go again next week just three weeks since our last visit!

Beautiful sandwiches, plenty of filling for a good price. Fresh bread from a local bakery. Friendly staff, the landlord is pleasant.

Wandered in here after a beach visit and left almost immediately! It was a Friday and the local builders fraternity had descended upon the place so i was definitely out of place! NIce pint, served by a friendly barmaid but felt out of place so would not return. Wished i could have felt more comfortable as i would have sampled... More

We hadn't been to the 19th Hole for some time so were curious to see whether anything had changed. Bill, the landlord, gave us a warm welcome. The menu is a bit limited but there were at least two starters and main courses that I fancied. The first course was supplied within a short time - my friends had the... More

Lovely pub with excellent landlord but the food was very disappointing It was cooked really well but the size of the portions was very poor - so small that we had a cheese sandwich when got home as still hungry. The landlord Bill is very nice and would probably supplied extra roast potatoes(only 3 per plate!!) if asked but didn't... More
