Popped here for a sandwich but then ended up ordering a burger and pie. Both were delicious with really nice flavours. Much nicer than the last few times I went last summer. The menu is great with fresh and seasonal dishes. The butty was abit too cloudy to drink, probably end of the barrel but couldn't complain :)

Staying in Symonds Yat for walking/drinking/eating weekend and booked our Saturday night meal for 16 here. Everything was fantastic from the food to the service and although dealing with a large group who have all had plenty to drink can be tricky the staff here dealt brilliantly with all our demands. The restaurant manager Janie was outstanding and even when... More

Celebrating a friend's 40th, our party of 15 descended on the hotel; some having walked from Ross on Wye. Tired and bedraggled we were met with a roaring log fire which could strip the skin off your face. The evening meal was exceptional as was the wine. The menu changes seasonally which is the sign of a good chef. No... More

What a great place to visit in the bleak of winter. All the staff couldn't do enough for us. I'm coming back and brining my parents in Summer. I love it!

A firm favourite is the Saracen's Head Inn, but just recently I decided to try a vegetarian dish off the new menu and was not disappointed. A cheese and spinach tart, accompanied by a glass of red wine and utterly sumptuous, no wonder these guys get so much praise, the menu is always changing and improving, using so many local... More

Really friendly staff. We visited on a wet and windy day. Sat outside with dog under shelter. Had a lovely bar meal and beer good.

Lovely little pub along the riverside. Beautiful location. Clean environment. Welcoming staff. Delicious food. The scotch egg to share with chilli jam was out of this world. Good service throughout. Worth a visit or two if in the area. Will definitely be returning.

We booked a table for 2 and we were made aware they were expecting a big party so to get there early to get our orders in. We didn't realise we would be sat in the bar area which was ok the seat I sat on was rather high for the table which made me feel slightly exposed and uncomfortable... More
