Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

More than 20 years that we go to the Panne, and now we discovered this restaurant. The word ‘discovery’ is very important. Excellent and so friendly service. Regarding the meal, nothing negative to say —> super excellent. This will be our drop zone for the...next years.More

What makes a great meal? Quality ingredients, as fresh as possible. A skilful chef to craft memorable dishes. Friendly and professional service. A pleasant room with distanced tables, quiet decor and no background music. This restaurant checks all these boxes! A thoughtfully limited menu (only...2 fixed-price menu options, each with 3 courses) allows this husband and wife team to offer outstanding value for money. Get a table if you can!More

In search of a great place for a celebration, Au Filet de Sole provided everything we looked for. The Menu du Marché started with a wonderful amuse-gueule, followed by curry coconut mussels and the sole meunière (of course) as a main. The food was high...quality, the service was decent and the wines were well paired with the food. Topped off with a great dessert and you have a recipe for a great evening. The only downside was that we had to chase the bill in the end and missed out on the sunset over the sea. Highly recommended, however.More

Super food, friendly served, the restaurant is situated just beside the michelin 2 stars restaurant ‘The Fox’. Maybe soon they can receive a star as well, they deserve it

We have eaten at Au Filet de Sole on a number of occasions and the food has always been superb. Fresh ingredients with so much flavour - we have enjoyed every dish and look forward to trying more. The service is exceptional and so friendly...and welcoming. Fantastic food, and at such affordable prices.More

This restaurant offers during low season two different menus. The quality of the various dishes varies between good and excellent. The end sum of menu and wine is at the higher end.

Very friendly service and very very good food. We had the menu with 4 courses and it wasn't possible to find anything wrong. So: amazing food combinations for a reasonable price!

The service was very nice but not professional. Food was ok, just ok... But not for this price. We didn't like the decoration - but it's subjective. Overall: nice place to have a quick lunch.

Food is not bad although the Chef could not take some more lessons at e.g. Le Cordon Bleu. Some of the ingredients are not matching each other or dominating each other. But generally food is ok. Service is rather "plate delivering" service. And not interested...in Clients - the women prefers rather watching tv. That is a pity.More

Having read other reviewers' comments I decided to book for our first evening of the weekend and was glad I did as there were 6 of us and the restaurant is not large. The atmosphere is cozy and the welcome was friendly. The service was...really efficient and the food was excellent. 2 of us had the set menu which was exceptional value at €35 and included a beautifully cooked piece of cod as a main course. 4 of the group had the sole which was extremely generous and well cooked. The wine list was not extensive but interesting and reasonably priced. All in all a great evening.More

Each year my partner and I plan a trip to a restaurant to celebrate our birthdays, mine in September and hers in March. We meant to come here last year but at the last minute, changed our minds. So, we finally got here, and Wow....What a great restaurant. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu, without wine for 49 Euros per person. We ordered a nice white wine from the wine list though. So, after a very nice gin and tonic as an aperitif, we were greeted by an amuse bouche, which was a carpaccio of cod on a crouton with asparagus puree. My only critique of this was I felt is a little under seasoned. Shortly after that came the first of the six dishes, four were fish, one beef and one desert. Each dish seemed to be better that the last, it was truly a gastronomic experience, perfectly seasoned each time and served by the chef himself. This restaurant is right next door to a two michelin star restaurant, and in my opinion the food is easily as good, if not better. I feel that we shall become regulars at 'Au Filet de Sole'.More

but at Au Filet de Sole that is definitely not the case! Again went for the set menu at 30 euros with accompanying carafes of wine. Not particularly a 'foodie' myself but the flavours and textures of the 5 courses were a delight and personally...served by the chef or his partner. The real test of a good restaurant? More people turned away without a reservation than actually served on the night - would go back again and again.More
