My husband ordered a lime and soda for me. What they had given him was a rum and soda. Yuk. Apparently the bar staff person had misheard. They switched it over and gave him a refund. Fine. Later I asked him to get me a gin and tonic. What came back was disgusting. Three of us tasted it and agreed. Apparently the Imperial Hotel make their own gin. Foolishly I decided not to make another fuss. Well whatever was in that drink left the most horrible taste in my mouth that stayed with me for hours. Such a shame as it was my birthday. Lastly my husband chose the Imperial for a serving of fish and chips and was very disappointed not to see it on the menu.

I am always loathe to give a negative review to a food place because my experience may not have been the experience of others. But my experience was that I didn't finish my entree and the steak night special was simply put - a good, average steak. What improved my experience was the good choice of wine by the glass and the goji berry gin.

The staff are great!! The staff member from my hometown of southern Adelaide was probably the most friendly and hospitable person we came across on the Sunshine coast. They brew there own drinks here but dont expect a cheaper - No Middle Man or no transport saving price, they are bloody expensive.. $34 for 2 pints of Alcoholic Ginger Beer.. so didnt bother to stay for a meal as the price of the drinks put us off staying longer than we had to.. next door to the bakery for lunch and a 6 pack of Brookvale Union Ginger beer from the drive through bottle shop finished the day nicely.

I have attended this place since the new ownership took over and all I can say is, what a disaster. Food and Service along with painting over the artwork is absolutely appalling, not to mention the price hikes for very mediocre overcooked or bland food. Do yourselves a favour and spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

We accidentally ordered the wrong meal. The staff cheerfully ordered a new meal, gave us the first meal because they didn't want it to be binned and declined to charge us for the second meal. All done with charm and smiles. Both meals were delicious. We were delighted with the friendly show of hospitality at its best. Thank you Imperial hotel!

Waited over an hour for our lunch. Checked order with staff, they said they made a mistake and took our order to the wrong table. Waited another 15 min only to see our lunch go to another table. The wait person realised mistake, then asked if we wanted our food after other patrons had breathed, sneezed on it no thank you.

Sorry Imperial we wont be returning..... the old menu rocked, the new one is bland. Visited last Tuesday night and we waited almost 1.5 hrs for a Parmi, cordon bleu, wagyu pie and a med-rare steak. Really? The steak was well done so sent straight back. The cordon bleu took an extra 5 mins to cook and was no bigger than the length of my thumb. Top this off with a massive increase in prices and no weekday specials other than an expensive steak night. What a shame, this was a weekly event (Monday Parmi night) for the family and our friends. We are local but won't be planning a return any time soon.

A change of ownership to the owners of The Doonan gave us some hope that the Imperial would be at least a level of quality above pub food. Unfortunately the two dishes we had were just bland. Potato croquettes were just deep fried potato. My partner sort of liked them but for me it was tasteless potato. The second dish was fish tacos. Used to be three on a plate, now two but price the same. Bland and with a piece of fish I had to search for in the mango salsa. High prices, mean servings and bland. Won’t be back until whoever thought this wonderful pub could be corporatised to make more money is given the boot. Pay the original chefs more money and get them back. I’m a local.

Two friends and I went to the imperial hotel for drinks and dinner on the 27/1/2022. We were greeted at the door and had to do the sign in and show proof of vax, all standard stuff. After we were seated and half way through our first drinks a guy claiming to be the manager on duty come up to our friend and asked to see her proof of vaccination. We had already done this once, it’s a pain in the butt the first time let alone being asked a second and for this manager to single out one person at a table of three. As it turns out the lady that was with us worked at the hotel Previously and the employment ended because she wasn’t double vaxed, I’m not really into that arguement for or against. It’s an individuals choice. However for this so called manager to single out our friend, victimised her and created nothing but an awful experience for the three of us. I refused to eat dinner there and we went across the road for Thai. Five stars to the Thai if your treated like a piece of poo by management at the imperial! The Thai will be rocking after his performance/approach to patrons!

Thank you for your comments. Firstly the gentleman was the manager on duty. The staff member that checked you in mentioned that she had not seen Kellys certificate hence the question. I apologise if this could have been handled better. The manager had never worked with the ex staff member and had no idea who she was.

We had dinner here recently and ALL of the meals including the kids meal, were thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. The flavours were delicious and meats were cooked to perfection. We will definitely return and highly recommend to others visiting the area. Their beer was also a hit đź‘Ś

Great pub brewery so much fun to look around. This old quirky pub is now a local brewer and has such a cool relaxing atmosphere. The staff are lovely attentive and helpful. There are loads of beers but the Eumundi lager on tap was my favourite cold and crisp. The food was delicious I had the special grilled snapper and John had the Wagyu beef burger with mushroom and blue cheese sauce he said it was great. The chef was pleased to have a chat afterwards about the food as everyone had their meals and he had slowed down. We were there Monday lunch and it was perfect timing. Market days and weekends are so busy here the place gets packed so we prefer Monday or Tuesday it more enjoyable. The toilets are so colourful I had to take photos. Enjoyed ourselves will go again and highly recommend Cheers

What a great Hotel. The setting, vibe and service was impeccable. Going on Easter Saturday always meant it was going to be jam packed but that did little to dim the experience. The bar service was a well oiled machine. Even being 10 or so deep in a queue only took a very short while to get service. We were going to explore more of Eumundi but opted to stay and enjoy. I can't wait to go back (I'm from Victoria.) It was going to be an hour wait for food so we didn't order but that is in no way a criticism with the hundreds at the pub - I'm only mentioning this to explain why I can't comment on the food but it looked amazing.

We spent the weekend in Eumundi and on Saturday booked a table for lunch at this hotel. Lively, buzzy atmosphere with wonderful and attentive staff. Live music playing which always adds to the experience. We started with cocktails which were well made and balanced. After this, we shared four sharing plates and chips. The food was delicious. Tasty, well presented and generous servings. We struggled to finish all of the food. My helpful hint is book a table to avoid disappointment. There did not appear to be a spare seat in the house. Highly recommended!

Give it a miss dreadful food. Totally unorganised and the person taking the orders was hopeless. Meals were inedible and came out at different times. Order was forgotten as no table number put on the order. The kitchen was under the pump. Wont be going back

Wow wow wow - who would have thought you could get the best cooked tuna burger in a pub. It was cooked to perfection with a great sauce and the sweet potato chips were great. Good wine and of course the beer. Check it after shopping at Eumundi market.
