Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely gift from our children of lunch and tasting at Barrelroom - from the moment we were greeted to the time we left it was a great experience of food and wine. Thanks for the introduction to the many local food and wine.

What a glorious way to spend an afternoon in the Granite Belt. After a tasting session the day before, we returned for a visit to the Wine Lounge. The whole experience was simply amazing. Food, service, wine was spectacular. Arrange a driver and sit back...and enjoy what this venue has to offer, you won’t be disappointed.More

Had a shared grazing platter and it was definitely filling enough to serve as lunch for the day. Such a relaxed spot sitting back in the lounges and we each chose different wine to taste for our choice of 3 wines with the experience. Highly...recommend this.More

The service in this restaurant was nice and friendly, the food was good, with a couple of dishes being very good. The pasta and the Truffle soup being the stand outs. I would not recommend the margarita, in fact I would stay well clear of...it. It tasted like dish water, not sure how they made it, but they took them away, without any offence. The fire place was not on, which was a little disappointing. We did have a slight bad taste in our mouth when arriving, nothing to do with the restaurant, but prior warning that if you do catch a local taxi to the restaurant, expect to pay a lot. We paid 65 dollars each way from Stanthorpe and were told that was cheap, that it is often 120 each way.More

We knew this place would be a winner as soon as we walked in to be seated by an ever-smiling and efficient Sarah at our table right by a huge barrel. We started off with a cob loaf with garlic butter ($7.00): the bread was...crunchy, delicious and satisfying. We each had the lamb ragout ($22.00 entree size) and it fairly burst with flavour. Quite a challenge, too, with all the vegetables accompanying it, but not so much that I couldn't refuse my Panna Cotta ($12.00) a wobbly vanilla miracle, with a biscotti perched precariously on top. I was enraptured by the texture, the subtlety and the presentation. Top marks! And the wine of choice? A Ballandean Semillon Sauvignon Blanc ($34.00) of course!More

Great food at premium prices. No issues as you are expecting tourist prices and that’s what you get. My beef is once again the casual COVID attitude. We have visited this restaurant twice, probably not again though. On both occasions the service was just average. Servers looked untidy (no uniform or aprons) and this time both servers seemed disinterested. There was 18 diners in the restaurant when we arrived and most had...already eaten. It was a good while before our drink orders where taken and we felt like we were a bother to them. It was a public holiday but we had booked ahead. Both of the meals I had were just average, Arancini balls which I expect where not restaurant made and seafood pasta which I could only find fish and frozen prawns. Garlic was over powering and we were not offered salt or pepper. The restaurant is a good way out of town so you really need to make an effort to go out to it which makes this experience even worse. Wine was enjoyable when we could get it. Car park was very dark and we had to use our phones to light the way to our car so we could see what we were walking on.More

Meat fell apart and the combination of flavours was beautiful. We paired it with their lovely malbec wine. The service was great. Atmosphere awesome.
