We have always gone to Barleys because the food and service is great and the atmosphere is very rustic. Our wedding was small and we wanted to go to a place that our friends and family would enjoy so Barley's made perfect sense. To my surprise they have a perfect private area upstairs that can be reserved for special occasions.... More

I think it was called the firehouse burger, and I think it's safe to that was the best I've ever had!

Pulled off Hwy 7 into Madoc as alternative to Tim's and McD. Found Barley Pub on road through town. Had special Turkey noodle soup and grilled cheese with chicken, bacon and mayo on rye bread. Soup was substantial and tasty - a bit too much salt. The sandwich had plenty of chicken and bacon - a bit too much butter.... More

Just visited off Hwy 7 for a second time, it was a total shocker the first time, totally looks like just a little pub, but they serve local craft beer, and the food is terrific! In particular, the Firefighter Burger: 2 x 8oz patties, hot peppers, onion ring, onions... yum! I don't even need the fries!

Friendly, lively and popular small-town pub with rustic appeal and stream-side dining verandah in season. Food is plentiful and tasty, but pub-style and somewhat unhealthy. Lots of deep fried options. I would love to see some creative salads and stirfries on the menu. Nice upstairs room for group events.

Quaint little pub in a small town, nice atmosphere, great service and excellent food! My server was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. I had the daily special which was a honey garlic rib dinner which came with some delicious fries, veggies and cole slaw! The gravy for my fries was very tasty!
