There is plenty of good parking in loch carron and this hotel looked attractive. We only wanted a coffee. Views from dining room cum bar were across the loch. Great location

We (4 generations) had dinner in the bar (twice). Food and drink were great with plenty of choice, very reasonably priced and good quality. Staff and locals very friendly. Nice open fire and fantastic view of the loch.

It's rare that I've complained about as meal but this was abysmal Venus was tough portion miniscule gravy like water served on tasteless potatoes Crabcake was burnt and chips almost so hard they pinged off the plate Fortunately the waitress was lovely and meal reduced Apparently it wasn't the normal chef But I've never seen such a poor meal with... We had a really good evening here. We got into contact with the local people and staff here really fast and the gave us some good tips about what to do in the area and about the food. We ended up ordering the seafood platter for 2 which was an excellent choice - lots of different seafood prepared really well.... More

Walked in, staff didn't make eye contact. Got menus ourselves. Ordered. Truly, truly, terrible food. You would be better eating out of the bins outside. Keep driving and go to the Applecross Inn.

With no other options so late in the season, we had no choice but to eat here. The hotels dogs are allowed to roam free in the Restaurant, even though signs are on view clearly stating no dogs allowed. The food is at best mediocre pub food.

Half way around North Coast Route 500 we came across this marvellous haven of an overnight stay, may I say ideal for bikers, run by bikers!.... Very basic rooms but adequate for what we required... lovely food, excellent beer, stunning views across the Loch Carron and nestled in the heart of the recently named North 500 coastal tour of Scotland.......
