We went as visitors on a Monday evening. We were the only ones in the restaurant which should have been a warning sign. The young waiter was fine but we suspected that he was the only member of staff there. The food was dreadful. The green Thai curry was congealed and unlike any Thai curry we had tasted before. The... The Great Walls takeaway food is ready within 5-10 mins which makes me certain it's not cooked from fresh. Most dishes we have tried are hard to chew through, and not enjoyable at all. 1 beef dish was thrown in the in after cutting a piece in half as it neither looked or smelt safe to eat.

This is possibly the worst Chinese I've ever eaten from - which is a shame as it's such a nice wee interior and the staff are pleasant. Husbands sweet and sour chicken was like jelly in texture and positively gross. My noodles were fishy tasting and swimming in grease. Inedible.

First ever visit to this restaurant & we were the only patrons in the place on a Tuesday early evening not long after Xmas holidays so didn't expect it to be packed. The food was okay but the service and atmosphere are severely lacking. Wife had the duck and enjoyed it; I had the Szechuan 3-delights but the squid was... More

We live very close to the Great Wall so have tried the takeaway numerous times as it smells delicious from the outside. The staff can be quite rude, I once had a member of staff hang up on me when I phoned to order. I then went across and the girl on the desk didn't smile once and seemed irritated... More

Very good village takeaway, stopped in after finishing late and found the staff member pleasant, the surrounds clean and tidy and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was fairly quick.

The worst meal I think I have ever had - without exaggeration! The restaurant itself is very dated and not the cleanest - the staff were pleasant on arrival however their clothes were covered in food stains.... Table dirty when we sat down! There was 3 of us dining, one of which had the set menu (starter/main/side for £9.99) the... More

The food was inedible. The staff were hopeless. We were overcharged by £16, and when we complained, it was reduced to a £14 overcharge. Drinks were multipack. Not to be sold separately. £2 a tin. Don't eat here. Promise me you won't eat here...PROMISE ME!

We went as a family (2 children, 2 adults). The restaurant is very nice and tables beautiful. The food was really nice. Hot and large portions. Our waiter was a little confused when we asked for coffee and ketchup but we understand he speaks little English. Staff friendly. We ordered the special menu (starter & main for £9.99 each) and... Husband and I took our son for a birthday lunch here today, felt a little uncomfortable from the moment we arrived, pushy waitress and staff shouting at each other, we heard good things about here, so decided to give it a chance. Stail prawn crackers arrive while we're looking at menu, we ordered roast duck in Orange sauce and green... More
