A friendly and welcoming bar with two of the loveliest hosts. They are very knowledgeable about the beer they serve and are happy to discuss and recommend tipples. Beware though, their rippling tattooed arms may distract from the tastings 😉☺️

New favourite Friday night place. We popped into the Opo bar for a quick drink; 2 hours later we finally left. The new arcade tables are brilliant and the beer wasn’t too bad either. If you’re into friendly service, great atmosphere, strong selection of craft beers, and old style arcade games then this is definitely the place for you. The Indian flavour crisps are also worth a try.

Spotted this place when wandering around the village. It was closed when we walked up the hill with a few people loitering around. Luckily for us it opened as well walked down the hill so we thought we would pop in for a swifty.
Despite its size it has a great selection of draft ales, bottles and cans of specialist ales. Lots of unusual Gins and Rums and some top notch speciality snacks.
The welcome was a warm one with one of the owners telling us about the garden at the back and how to order from there if you didn’t want to order inside.
We found a seat in the fab little garden outback and I went in to see what was available, clicking an order on the phone isn’t for me. I decided on a Leffe and ordered my good lady a nice Rum and coke. Inside looked just as welcoming as outside. It’s nicely done out and, again, despite its size, more than comfortable.
It’s always nice to get your beer in the glass that’s made for it, too many pubs have you playing beer-glass roulette these days. Mrs A enjoyed her Rumbullion too.
It was a wee bit chilly so we went inside only for the owner to point out another wee room out the back known as the Armoury for reasons that will become clear when you visit, as a I know you will following this review. Beautifully decorated and very atmospheric it lulled us into another drink. This time I tried the Hoffmeister, probably because I was reminded of the old advert with the Bear (I’m getting on a bit!). My good lady then went to the Chilli and chocolate Rum Served with ginger ale as recommended by the other owner !! Like Christmas is a glass
Both lads who have the place took time out to chat to us and it was nice to find out how they came about to get the place and how it is really working out. It’s good to see effort and gamble pay off. Well done fellas
We also tried the pork scratchings. Another must and great with the beautifully chilled lager
Already planning another couple later in the week before returning home from our short stay in Ingleton.
A great place worthy of its number one ranking
PS. It’s not a restaurant. It’s a fantastic little:micropub
Eat elsewhere but don’t miss this place
Anyway, spent a good hour plus there and

Was a please to meet you both and glad you enjoyed the recommendations. We have to serve the correct beer in the correct glass, the Leffe or Hoff just wouldn’t taste the same 😁
Please do come back and visit us again soon.

Not our first visit to this little gem! This is a unique bar and not what you would expect. The walls are adorned with a great array of art, collectibles and I wont ruin whats in the back room!! You know you are in the best place around when the clientele is a great mix of locals and people staying near by.
The staff are very obliging and can talk you through every drink they serve as they take pride in selecting their own stock.
Cannot wait to visit again!

Spotted this quirky little bar on our first night in ingleton and made it a definite for us to visit, and it didn't disappoint.
We arrived early and got a wounderful seat in the window, the variety of largers and ipas was great considering the size of the venue.
We soon found the cocktail menu and throughly enjoyed the old fashioned.
As the night went on customers came and went some locals, some tourists but all friendly and welcoming, background music was great and the back room games room is a fantastic bonus.
Had a wounderful, memorable evening and is one place I'd love to go back to.

Our first jaunt out for a beer having been in lockdown since Christmas and we were not disappointed.
We sat in the cosy beer garden, were informed about the ordering app by one of our hosts and our adventure around the fabulous beverage offer begun. A crisp tasty, and perfectly chilled pilsner dully arrived accompanied by an alcohol free wheat beer, delicious!
We sat in the sunshine somewhat envious of the pre-booked group who had bagged “The Sanctum” the quirky but relaxed “Cabana” style seating area in the Secret Garden, but there is always another day. Unperturbed by the threat of a shower on the horizon we ordered another round of drinks. The order quickly arrived, an exquisite alcohol free Seedlip Citrus Gin accompanied by a quality tonic water from the good choice available and a tasty OPO Blonde, outstanding quality, price, and above all true hospitality from our hosts. A cracking first impression from our visit and clearly from the quality and attention to detail to the interior decor spied on our visit to the restroom (which was spotless) we will visit again.

I’ve been lucky enough to work at the OPO bar for almost two years now. I couldn’t have imagined how amazing this place could have been starting on my first day, the owners Adam and Rob are such amazing people and customers could only imagine the lengths that they go to to insure their customers have the best experience possible. The effort put into the decoration, drink choice and customer service is unparalleled, from my time here I have nothing but the upmost respect for the establishment and you will be the ones missing out if you don’t call in. Thank you Adam and Rob❤️

Went with Hubby for a delicious meal of Cornish Pasty and peas served perfectly cooked although we were quite full afterwards we managed a pudding of warm mince pie and cream . Rob and Adam were fabulous hosts as always and nothing was too much trouble . They have been busy during lockdown and the place looks fabulous. It was really good to be able to have something to eat . So lucky to have the OPO within walking distance. Looking forward to trying the new outdoor area out .

When I visited the OPO with friends, the atmosphere was exceptionally friendly and the staff could not do enough to make sure we felt welcome. There were a very good selection of draft beers and an excellent selection of spirits. My whole experience of visiting the OPO added to my visit to Ingleton and I will certainly be visiting again and I can say we made some good friends.

We visited Ingleton for the weekend and dropped into the OPO on a Sunday afternoon/evening. The bar was quite busy with a mix of locals and tourists and we received a warm welcome from the owners. The guys sampled a stout and there were plenty of gins to choose from. We relived some childhood memories with the free arcade games in the back room! Highly recommend - fabulous friendly bar.

As someone who lives close to the microbar, I've never thought to leave a review before. I knew it was a great bar, but I guess we take these things for granted.
We have missed this place so much since they had to close its doors in March. The atmosphere and the people (regulars and visitors alike) and of course the lads themselves who are so welcoming, true publicans. It's the kind of place you can go on your own and feel amongst friends even when you know no one.
Since closing the doors to the public though they haven't given up and have adapted, providing a takeaway collection and delivery service to the village. They have also put on online events which have helped us all stick together and keep us all sane.
The guys are a fantastic asset to the local community, and we wish them all the best and would urge you that when they can open again to pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.
And if your local and wondering whether to give their takeaway service a try, it's second to none, great selection, great service, you can't lose.

What a golden nugget the OPO is. Ingleton is a beautiful village to visit at any time of the year, but finding the OPO was a stroke of luck! It has a unique and inviting style, for both locals and visitors alike. Not only does the OPO provide a wide range of choice of drinks, but the atmosphere and feel of the place is something special. I will visit time and time again, as you can rely on the warm welcome from the owners, Rob and Adam, but also from the locals who embrace visitors without exception. Great place and I highly recommend you visiting if ever you’re in Ingleton.

The OPO has always been a fantastic to place when in Ingleton, during lockdown the guys have adapted. Not moaning at the situation they faced, they started a take-away/delivery service and to keep people smiling they have created fun videos and organised online events. Definitely a thumbs up from me

An absolutely fabulous little bar that we visited a number of times whilst staying in Ingleton
Rob and Adam are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome along with the very friendly regulars.
A great range of drinks and snacks (naga chilli pork scratchings among them!)
If you only visit one bar in Ingleton then make it this one.
Thank you for your hospitality and best wishes for the future guys.
