Had fish and chips, but did not enjoy, chips must have been standing for ages before serving and fish was not nice

Dreadful fish and chips. Thick and disgusting batter, that was reminiscent of a grease- laden duvet. Wish we hadn't bothered. I think the seagulls would have turned this down.

A spur of the moment visit to Teignmouth with our good friends The Van Browners found us in town around lunchtime. Most of the other chippies were closed but this place was open with the doors open to welcome us. The worker helped us through the menu and we placed our order. We then found a seat outside and the... More

Absolutely minging; 5mm fish batter dripping with oil, nit fit for the gulls let alone human consumption. Can't believe this poor excuse for a fish and chip shop is still trading. Avoid avoid avoid

My usual choice of chip shop was closed, so gave these another try. The food was awful! The fish was extremely greasy and everything tasted of old oil. Service with a snarl.

In the 1960 and 70s this chippy was known far and wide for the wonderful food and a very special flavour - delicious, especially the sausages. I was so pleased to see it still there although the lack of customers should have been a warning. The staff were distinctly unfriendly and seemed to have no willingness to attract customers. The...
