I can honestlt say this was one of the best meals i've ever had. The herdade is beautiful, in the middle of Alentejo - vineyards and olive trees everywhere. The restaurant has 2 options, we went for the 'petiscos', some sort of tapas if you'd like. The combination of Flavors, presentation, the waiter, everything was very close to perfection. Do... More

After having visited the Esporao estate’s winery and did a bit of tasting of excellent wines by the way.... We were led to a lounge prior to getting into the dinning room. We were offered a glass of bubbly brut, of great quality . Then the head sommelier came and invited us in the dinning room. This was a unique... More

We booked a tour plus five course lunch without much expectation and were throughly blown away by the chef's imaginative and delicious cooking, warm hospitality of the whole staff, the wine pairing is ridiculously inexpensive with great thought behind the marriage between wine and food. We also get to taste experimental wine not commercially available. I cannot wait to return... More

We are huge culinary lovers and have been to many world's best restaurants, moreover we also own a fine dining restaurant but we haven't had such a culinary experience in our lives so far. From the first snack to the last dessert, everything was on constant high level in flavor, design, as well as in the presentation of the dishes.... More

I have been to many Michelin restaurants and did not like all of them. This one should have some stars as it is excellent! The service is Amazing, the spot is magic, and the food is amazing, very tasty! Prior to lunch I did the wine tour at Esporão which is also an amazing experience. This is a MUST go!

Came here based on a recommendation from another restaurant we had eaten at. This was hands down the best dinning experience in my life. Reservations are a must and plan on a minimum of 2.5 hours for lunch. Service was really top notch. I lost count of how many courses there were, but there were at least 12. There are... More

Our travel company, Portugal Trails, included in our itinerary a visit to Herdade do Esporao. We thought we were visiting a wine estate and that the visit included a wine tasting and some light snacks. What we wound up experiencing was a gourmet 5 course lunch, each course paired with wine produced by Herdade do Esporao. It had to have... More

Beautiful 5 course lunch with wine pairings, best culinary experience in 2 weeks in Portugal. Very attentive and professional service, superbly presented and explained, was included with our tour but whatever it cost it was worth it. Don't miss out, the setting is beautiful, the wines produced at the winery are excellent.

We had the 5 course tasting menu without wine pairings. Based on many visits to other starred restaurants, this deserves at least one star and besides has a fantastic view thrown in for free. Even with the weak £ it is excellent value. The only issue was that something went wrong in the kitchen before the main course and we... More

amazing eating experience, with a superb combination of selected Esporão wines. Before the official 7 courses you have another 7 entries, each one with a different wine. Superb combinations. the olive oils degustation is amazing, combining a locally made bread with 3 different oils. The various entries and courses use all the Alentejo tradition, which is great.
