It started good with prosecco and a soup as appetizer but went downhill from there. The mussels were salty and the fish was overcooked. The service is extreeeeemly slow. As someone already mentioned before: the lemon sorbet offered is added to the bill in the end. 90 euros for 2 person could is way too much for this experience. We... More

We ate excellent first courses, especially Trofiette with salmon, nuts and pesto, I took linguine with astice, it was awesome. The thing I appreciate most was the grilled and fried octopuses. In my opinion the best seafood restaurant in Polignano. The manager gave us a special price, we will return there for sure.

I loved this restaurant and the ambiance. The narrow street on which it sits is the perfect walkway to the quaint entrance and the exposed limestone interior. What can I say about the very fresh seafood and wine? Fantastic, although it would be very nice if they had more seafood portions for the main meal and if they make sure... More

According to a lot of reviews a good restaurant, it is! Waiters are nice and alert, the food is divers and the atmosphere in the restaurant will do. Quite busy entourage but not annoying.

By accident, I stumbled upon this restaurant and I was so grateful for it. The main dining room is quite hidden, you wouldn’t expect such a large dining area peaking in from the sidewalk. The atmosphere was cosy and busy at the same time. Very attentive service, fantastic recommendations, great food and lovely local wines. I went for three different... More

This beautiful restaurant set in a cave, is a perfect place to eat seafood. Staff is kind and friendly, Food was fresh and delicious. We had antipasti, 2 secondi piatti, wine and 2 desserts, all for 58 euros. And Polignano is the most beautiful city of Italy. I definitely could live there and eat at this restaurante everyday.

Had a very good meal here with my fish loving family. The mixed antipasti is stellar. Kids pasta primi were ok but not unite so good - they were therefore, being teenagers, welljel. Secondi were mixed; the boys mixed seafood grills fresh and tasty but a bit wysiwyg. Wife's seabream baked with olives perfection. My Zuppe with mussels and red... More

My sister and I celebrated my birthday dinner here. Hands down, the best seafood meal while visiting Southern Italy. We both ordered from the tasting menu. I highly recommend the fresh fish with the zucchini and potato even if you don't try the tasting menu. As a bonus, the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is lovely and you are... More

Restaurant has a beautiful setting and we had a lovely meal. Think it was the owner who took our order was somewhat unsettled as my wife who is gluten free asked questions. The rest of the staff was more than accomodating and would certainly recommend. Maybe it was me!

Description
A charming place, a restaurant with all the features to become "historical", since it stands where the first stones of Neapolis were placed in the far Middle Ages, today Polignano a Mare. Antiche Mura Restaurant is like the "Rotonde", the enchanting restaurant of the monumental Hotel Negresco in Nice, the place preferred by the most renowned people. Our idea is to realize an attractive corner of the Apulian cuisine, combining simplicity and refinement of choice. What strikes, apart from our good cuisine, is the refinement of our restaurant and the attention paid to every single detail. Finally, natural politeness and professionality will make the atmosphere pleasant and harmonious, for an unforgettable moment to spend together with other people.
