I stayed in Portmagee for three days after the busy season trying to get passage to the Skelligs. It's one of the only bars and restaurants in town. I ate breakfast here in the morning which was empty and quiet, and dinner with drinks which...More

We visited here and stayed in PortMagee the night before we did Skellig Michael. It's one of the few options in the area, but it really was some of the better pub food we've had. I had grilled hake, and it was so so good....More

Good place to stop for Lunch. Lots of parking across the road. We had a Sea Food Platter to share which was very good. Prompt friendly service.

We came back after our boattrip to the smelling islands lasting 3 hours and one of the first things you need afterwards are the bathroom and then a drink and some food. All this can be found at The bridge bar located opposite the harbour....More

We arrived in Portmagee to find the Bridge Bar heaving with visitors, but a table was found for us straight away. there was a decent selection on the menu, something for everyone's taste. We ordered from a very helpful and good humoured man, who had...More

We ate here after going on the Skellig Michael landing tour. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a nice lunch and an adult beverage as we simply had to walk across the street from the marina. Good food and good service.

Was driving around the ring of Kerry with friends and decided to make a stop in Portmagee before doing the Bray head walk. Entered through the moorings restaurant but managed to get a table in the adjoining bar. Very well run and the staff managed...More

This was a place that was friendly and met our price point for a simple supper. We opted to order at the bar and then have it delivered across the street on the picnic tables (the evening was nice). The veggie burger special was a...More

Lovely food but my son never got his chips with the meal. The bar was really busy and I couldn't get anyone's attention. We were still charged for the chips. I told the waitress and the bill was amended accordingly. - €3:00. But, when I...More

The Bridge Bar at The Moorings, Portmagee is open all year round. Great food served all day with traditional music at weekends. Trips to Skellig Michael can be arranged and packages are available from April to September. Cois Cuain gift shop is open from March to January. The Moorings is located in a fishing village with a working harbour, post office, general store, coffee shop, bar, restaurant overlooking Valentia Island. There's nothing more endearing than knowing that some of the Hollywood's biggest movie stars like Mark Hamill and Director J.J Abrams have visited the sleepy village of Portmagee, and even sat in the Bridge Bar local pub where Mark Hamill poured a pint of Guinness behind the bar. The Moorings was home to the pre-production team of the Star Wars VII movie and you can visit the room where all the magic took place and listen to the stories told by the staff.
