This restaurant is a pleasant 50 min walk up through the forest above Bareges. ( or a short drive) I enjoyed a fabulous lunch there, and the restaurant takes great pride in using local produce and detailing the source of their ingredients. It is open for a coffee, lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.

We noticed this place on trip advisor & also the sign off the main road up to Tourmalet - so decided to drive up & make a reservation. only a short drive & then you must park your car & follow the sign that says 5 minutes walk - which perhaps is a little optimistic. You should plan for 10... More

These lovely restaurants hidden away in the woods and on the slopes of the Pyrenees are over-flowing with rustic charm, but you don't realize it bcause ... you're charmed ! They are usually difficult to locate, and you might become discouraged as you drive to Chez Louisette. But it's really quite easy: Make your reservation a day or two in... More

We went there during Autumn, during lunch time. Really nice place, ambience. Good local food for the soup and goat. the Pork a little bit to dry. We think the menu a little bit over charge for Auberge food. we have better food in our hotel in Bareges town.

I went here with a group of friends on a lovely July evening where we sat outside for a fabulous three course meal. The waiter, Seb, was fantastic and helped to make this a memorable meal. He was friendly and very efficient. The food was delicious homemade fare and was enjoyed by everyone in my party. I found it great... More

We visited Chez Louisette again with friends and we're not disappointed. We arrived a little late for the French lunch, but we're gladly shown to a nice table in the shade. We had a fabulous meal again, and everyone really enjoyed it. Service was excellent, with good explanation of the dish.

Mountain restaurant that serves excellent food summer and winter. Louisette is a first class cook. Served on slates and beautifully presented with mountain flowers and herbs. Local lamb a speciality, and as for the potatoes cooked in goose fat - perfection. Try assiette du skier in winter.

Louisette made us so welcome and the service was superb. The food was absolutely devine and the cosy atmosphere of the restaurant nestled in the mountains was wonderful. Our group of New Zealanders really enjoyed their evening.

We were recommended to eat at this restaurant by friends who usually go there in the winter for skiing, so a visit in the summer on a beautiful day turned out to be a magical experience. The setting is really stunning, certainly not pretentious - we were greeted by friendly staff and also as it turned out by the musician... More
