This restaurant had the blandest food and worst service I have ever experienced. We had to ask for wine glasses, entre plates not cleared with main dishes squeezed in, and wrong dishes brought to our table.
Sadly we were very disappointed in the food and the drinks.
Firstly we asked the waitress for recommendations and it was like she didn’t know what to
Then what she did recommend was sadly not good at all.
Then lamb dish had 4 piece...of lamb in it not good enough.
The Chicken was boiled with a sauce again not tasty at all.
Then we order cocktails and Margarita didn’t even taste like a Margarita and the Persian Cocktail
was like beetroot juice ??More
Walk-in diner on a Wednesday night, had the Momtaz which is a chicken breast skewer and minced lamb skewer. Chicken was moist and tender. Only wished they had better sides; all I got on mine was some chopped onions, a green pepper and grilled tomato....Other Persian restaurants I’ve been to generally come with side of salad or some fries.
Loved the decor of the restaurant; excellent traditional paintings, lovely little decorations on display (love the old school telephone) and the Persian music in the background gave it the right mood.More
There were 10 of us celebrating an anniversary and we were very disappointed with the lack of variety in the dishes themselves and the huge mound of rice that appeared on almost every single dish that came to the table. The rice was also identical...on each plate. In our opinion this added to our annoyance at being served a $35 dish with mostly rice and a couple of slim skewers of meat to the side with a baked tomato plonked to one side. Looking around this appeared to be the theme of almost every dish served here. Oh yes the butter in a plastic slab on the dish was also very appealing!!!! Staff were helpful and atmosphere was great but food will need to step up if we are ever to return.More

As a persian, I found the persian food in this restaurant the best in Melbourne. The kebab was very nice and my husband had Fesenjan which was very yummy. Definitely recommend Tahchin as well which was chef’s special that night. The staff are so nice...and friendly and loved the decorations inside. The music was a bit too loud but other than that everything else was perfect. We will definitely go back.More
