A fine dining experience with excellent service. The ambience of the restaurant and the cellar was pretty good. The experience was amplified with colourful butterflies flying around the garden.

De Bortoli is a beautiful vineyard in the Yarra Valley showcasing fresh local produce with impeccable friendly service.

Friendly and knowledgeable service matched with fresh, delicious produce and wine. Entrees were delicious. The waygu carpaccio was very tasty and the ocean trout was light and delicious.The perfect way to begin. Generous main meals. Fusilli squid ink pasta consisted of fresh seafood and the...murray cod was fresh and cooked well accompanied with a generous portions of roast potatoes and greens.. We enjoyed this with an amazing De Bortoli rose and left satisfied and very content. Overlooking the gorgeous vineyards and delightful gardens, a relaxing experience and ideal way to spend a Sunday lunch indeed.More

Very nice dinner, good for wedding

Had my wedding here recently, the vineyard and restaurant is beautiful. Many people said risotto and other mains was nice. Only issue is canapes ran out quickly. Lisa was helpful with organising events.

Worth the trip for wine lovers

De Bortoli is one of the most prominent names in Australian wines. The Yarra Valley winery is certainly a showpiece, it produces some wonderful wines. We have visited the de Bortoli Yarra Valley winery several times. We have always been impressed by the food and...wine. The service is first-rate, it's well worth the trip for wine lovers.More

Lunch at de Bortoli Winery July'22

Great menu, great food and great service in the restaurant. Spent $700 for six people including drinks. Disappointingly, went downstairs for a wine tasting and was told it would cost $15 / head despite already having spent $700 ! All other wineries where I have...had lunch would waive that fee. On principle our group left without the tasting.More

Great place for lunch and a great tasting experience.

Started with a tasting experience and had a wonderfull host who walked us through the wines. We then went to the restaurant for a magnificent lunch. The group had the steak, duck, fish and pasta. All meals were tremendous. A special mention to our waiter...who was brilliant. All in all a top class experience.More

Great Service Great Venue Great Food

We went to the restaurant at the vineyard for Mothers Day with one mother, one grandmother and various family members. Set in a great location over the vineyard we were then treated to the menu of the new Chef. Very enjoyable lunch

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 course lunch at Locale Restaurant. We were given a lovely table next to a window and the service was personable and very efficient. Our food was outstanding (main and dessert) and the wines very enjoyable. We had...a couple of conversations with the manager and she certainly made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend for a special occasion.More

Outstanding Dining Experience

What a great dining experience fantastic three course lunch supported with beautiful accompanying wines served by an outstanding young lady called Jasmine. Although only working there since January she had a deep knowledge of the menu and the wines and a very caring thoughtful nature...that will hold her in good stead as her confidence grows with experience. This was just a great experience and I highly recommend it .More

Mums 85th Birthday Celebration

As a local to the area i cant believe what a gem this is to the Yarra Valley. A BIG thankyou to the staff on Sunday 6th March. Special thanks to Lisa for helping me organise it all. ( Dietary requirements were handled perfectly )....The menu ,the food , the wine and large table we were able to sit at was fantastic. Great place for a lazy lunch

Just had lunch with friends at Locale restaurant at De Bortoli Wines Yarra Valley. Really nice meals, good service and nice ambience. Not cheap, set prices of $70 for 2 courses, $85 for 3 courses (our choice). Recommend a try.

Outstanding wine tasting and dining experience

My wife and I had an outstanding wine tasting and dining experience at De Bortoli with 2 of our friends. Booking the lunch and wine tasting was very simple. We arrived on time and were immediately taken to a tasting table by our host David....He provided us with an outstanding tasting experience, varying from the standard tasting list as he discerned our preferences. De Bortoli has a good range of wines and it was easy to find quite a few that we really liked. We then moved upstairs to the restaurant where the excellent service continued as we were served a delicious meal. Having decided our mains, I went back to discuss with David in the cellar door what wine would be best to try with the food. We had an excellent red blend. Starters, mains and desserts were excellent. After we finished lunch, we moved back to the cellar door to make some purchases and David insisted on us tasting some of the premium reds that he thought we might like - as a result he "upsized" our purchases but we were very happy to do so.More

wonderful lunch!

We had lunch here that was purchased via a Red Balloon gift voucher. The menu was great, the staff were fantastic - friendly and knowledgable and we loved the food and wines. Service was faultless. Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

Enjoyed our visit
