Spoiling a friend for their birthday we could only book in for a late Sunday lunch (1.45pm) otherwise fully booked until late July. Expansive dining area overlooking undulating greenery, it’s a lovely setting. Service was not as efficient; we noticed later diners were attended to before we were - we had to ask for service as our designated wait staff had to attend to another matter. She was apologetic as she realized we had been waiting awhile and another staff member alerted her we were ready to place our order. The menu is inviting & we settled on prosciutto & sage wrapped chicken breast, truffle mashed potato, mushroom & port fricassee, broccolini with parmesan as well as sirloin, thyme potato fondant, fried shallot & vermouth purée, buttered green beans & red wine jus. Thankfully there’s enough sides not to warrant additional sides, as in other places there’s only a hint of sides requiring a shared order which means mains can then nudge towards $50/pp .... our mains were deliciously cooked & presented. As we didn’t order entree preferring to experience dessert it was a good half hour plus wait before our main meals .... no breadsticks nor nut nibblies was offered to soften the wait. The ‘18 Immerse CSM Merlo was smooth & went well with sirloin. The presentation of our desserts; raspberry & chocolate bomb Alaska with lychee, cream & glass shards was delightful with a single candle (most appreciated), my chai & panna cotta with vanilla tuille, coconut sorbet & pistachio crumble was a little on bland side. Music was rather loud not really background music and did not add to ambience - more mellow like jazz would have been less intrusive to conversation. Overall still enjoyed the day with a less crowded dining experience as a result of prevailing dining regulations. Would service be more challenged with a fuller seating outcome..... Worth another visit when dining restrictions are lifted.

Hi Viv, Can I begin by saying thank you so much for taking the time put together such a detailed review! I am sorry to hear that there were some areas where we didn't quite hit expectations, we will be working with our Restaurant team to improve procedures and overall customer service. On the other hand it is great to hear the areas where we did hit the nail on the head! Overall thank you, for giving us this opportunity, we really do hope that we get to welcome you back to Immerse in the future, and this next hit every single one of those expectations! A friend and I went there on a Saturday for lunch and wine tasting. Jamie at the cellar door was super helpful and very descriptive and passionate about the wines we were sampling. He understood the grapes and the area, and really took pride in his work. For lunch, Lana was our server, who was friendly, obliging and so knowledgeable about the food and menu. We had a gnocchi entree, where the lamb was succulent and the gnocchi al dente. The terrine was generous and the pate was the most flavoursome pate I had ever tried! The sirloin main was cooked beautifully, and the jus was delicious. The pork main was excessive in size, flavoursome and yum. The chai panacotta had so much chai taste, and it went down smoothly. Of course, to top it off, the wine was fantastic - and we were glad we tasted them all so that we could try to match our lunch to the wine. They also sell freshly baked bread, which has a lovely bouncy texture and great flavours - so easy to eat the whole loaf all in one sitting! The venue was being set up for a wedding, and the staff were super accommodating even though we finished our lunch a little later, they were not rude, nor did they rush us out the door. After such a yummy and large lunch, we went for a wander around the rose gardens in the grounds, and they had beautiful heirloom roses that smelt as beautiful as they looked!

I really don't want to tell you people how great this place is, in case we can't get bookings in the future, but that would be selfish to not share it with everyone who appreciates superb food and atmosphere. We have been regular customers over the years and can't fault anything, and we've seen the venue setup for many weddings, and it is an ideal setting to make it such a special day. But for us, it's all about having a memorable day out, and enjoying some of the best food on offer in Australia. This is what we wrote, Hi Nathaniel, Just a short note to say how impressed we were with all aspects of our lunch yesterday (actually back in Dec 2020), table 30 1:15pm overlooking the vineyards, from our efficient & happy waitress (also her attention to the other 4 tables), overall ambience & the food, superb presentation, great quality, and fantastic flavours. We’ve dined here many times over a few years & we think you’re even exceeding your previous high standards. So great to see you guys smashing it, and the great teamwork & hopefully ongoing customer support. We’re not food critics but we know when we like or dislike things. Picking our top dish was hard but it’s the entree pork belly! Sometimes written words & pictures say so much more than a simple thankyou for a fantastic lunch. And we have been back recently and it's still absolutely fantastic. Even better when the garden roses are out in bloom, and obviously many other people appreciate the food and setting too. Basically they do lunch (& wedding venues), and in warmer months some outdoor wine tasting. We do see some families. Always best to book as it's very popular.

Service was welcoming, attentive and timely. Staff were a great help videoing our surprised birthday guest. The setting is beautiful, background music from 3 musicians. The food is amazing, generous portions of stylishly presented meals and the wine so special we all purchased from the cellar door. We appreciated being able to stay on in the garden for our dessert and coffee once our permitted sitting was up. I highly recommend Immerse for your next trip to the Yarra Valley.

We had our wedding at Immerse this year after a turbulent 2020. The team at immerse were so incredible and patient with postponing our date due to covid. We picked this venue for the aesthetic and the fact the were dog friendly. We honestly had the most incredible day, thanks to the team. The food, the grounds, the chapels and accommodation were all perfection. We couldn't have picked a better venue. I highly recommend Immerse to anyone for lunch or their wedding.

Absolutely fabulous! We had our wedding at Immerse in January this year. Brilliant!! Can't thank Immerse and their team enough for making the lead up to our wedding such an easy and wonderful experience and our wedding day...a beautiful and memorable experience! We were overwhelmed by the hospitality and care by the team and all the thought put into making every little detail of the wedding preparation pin point perfect - layout, superb exquisite quality of food, impeccable service with a smile and the sequence of events planning. We had our ceremony in the chapel - which was just stunning!!! The sweeping views of the vineyard as backdrop through the huge floor to ceiling chapel windows was breathtaking. The reception/dining/bar area was also just beautiful with its rustic ambience and a perfect layout and size for our celebrations after. In particular, we'd like to make a special mention and thank you to Carolyn, who was our events co-ordinator from start to finish. Everyone commented on how super friendly and organised she was, her attention to detail and guest requests was commendable. It was such a comforting experience for us knowing we were all taken care of, which eased the stress and anxiety of the day. The whole Immerse experience was top notch! They were a pleasure to work with in making our dream wedding a reality and we can't thank them all enough for doing what they do so well! All our guests commented on how wonderful the venue/staff were and how perfect the day was overall. Highly recommend any couple looking for a perfect winery wedding location to look no further than Immerse! Sharon and Steve x @immerseyarravalley

My wife and I had a lovely dinner and wine tasting. A friend of ours recommended Immerse. When we arrived they offered us a wine tasting at the table. Great concept! We tried 8 very interesting wines. We bought a mixed dozen and joined their wine club. Food was excellent. There were 5-6 small plates and same number of large plates. I had Thai calamari, full of flavour and chicken breads with truffle mash potatoes. Amazing! The better half was delighted by the duck arancini and lamb gnocchi. Generous servings so no room for dessert but some classics there like blueberry cheesecake. Well done to Nathaniel, the maître d’ and Jamie the sommelier

Our Immerse wedding exceeded all expectations, truly fulfilling our fairytale dreams. From the moment we entered the vineyard chapel, my partner and I felt an undeniable connection to the venue. This feeling only intensified during our thoughtful discussions with the coordinators, leading us to secure our booking on the spot, despite not yet being engaged. Now, onto the specifics: The coordination team, comprising Laura, Nicole, Carolyn; and reception supervisor, Nathaniel, were instrumental in orchestrating every aspect of our wedding with precision and warmth. Their proactive approach and attention to detail ensured that our unique needs, as a gay couple with unconventional requests, were not only met but exceeded. They reviewed all our requests diligently and communicated immediately. I could not thank them enough. They were hugely responsible for all the great things that happened to the wedding. Immerse has a lot of good qualities, but their defining stars are definitely their coordinators. Immerse's culinary offerings were nothing short of exceptional. The generous and delicious food, meticulously served, left a lasting impression on us and our guests. Special mention goes to the accommodating nature of the chef, who seamlessly accommodated our request to modify one of the main courses. As for the wines, while I may not consider myself a wine enthusiast, Immerse's selection, particularly the sparkling shiraz and brut, left a lasting impression. Their quality has even earned them a spot as my go-to gift for friends' events. Being a club member is valuable. When it comes to amenities and pricing, Immerse stands out as a beacon of fair pricing without compromising on quality. The one-stop venue experience, coupled with its stunning surroundings and impeccable maintenance, truly offers value for money. The Immerse food servers and maintenance team, with their friendly demeanour and unmatched dedication, played a significant role in making our wedding a resounding success. Their efficiency and genuine smiles were appreciated by all, leaving a lasting impression on both us and our guests. I personally enjoyed our wedding because they looked like they were enjoying too. Regarding the location, the scenic drive to Yarra Valley added to the anticipation and excitement surrounding our special day. The breathtaking vistas of the Australian outback served as the perfect backdrop for our celebration, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended, especially those who travelled overseas and interstate. In conclusion, our wedding day was a whirlwind of joy and celebration, expertly executed by the Immerse team. While we may not be able to recreate the magic of that day, we look forward to revisiting Immerse on our anniversaries and attending to Immerse’s milestone events to relive the memories and create new ones. I hope our relationship with them doesn’t end here. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the entire team, with special appreciation for Carolyn's assistance in paving way with our special request.

We were lucky enough to get married in March at Immerse. The team did not disappoint! Their service and communication was spot on right from the beginning of our wedding planning journey. The food is sensational and the venue is absolutely beautiful from the chapels to the gardens to the reception area. We will definitely be back for some more yummy food and wine.

We are so lucky to have chosen Immerse as our wedding venue. We are not sure what the best thing is about Immerse. The grounds are stunning, the food is divine, and the staff are all so lovely. Being impacted by the COVID lockdowns, we needed to reschedule our wedding on four occasions as we struggled to meet venue density limits and due to the interstate travel restrictions which were in place. The whole team were so accommodating and understanding of the position we found ourselves in and they worked tirelessly to make sure they did everything they could to help us. In the lead up to our wedding day, the staff were always so responsive to our needs, available on phone or email for any questions, no matter how small they were. They worked in seamlessly with our other suppliers to make sure we needed to think about as little as possible in the lead up to the day. On the evening, the food was an absolute standout. We have had so many guests come back to us and say that it was the best food that they have ever had at a wedding. And whilst we might have some bias, we agreed that it was just sensational. The service on the night was phenomenal. The staff were attentive, no one went hungry or thirsty or wanted for anything. The next morning, breakfast was delicious, and the staff had done so much of the cleaning up that all we needed to do was pack our car when it was time to leave. Thank you Immerse team for a wonderful evening which was exactly what we had hoped for. We will see you for lunch at the first anniversary!

This was a great place for our anniversary meal. We enjoyed some free wine tasting prior to our meal and were treated to a complimentary glass of bubbles as well as the wine that came with our meal package. We enjoyed a starter and main course along with a glass of wine, and chose to purchase a box of desserts to take back to our accommodation along with a bottle of sparkling wine. There was a great guy singing a decent set of music and the venue was busy enough to have an atmosphere but intimate enough for couples like us. The food was excellent and the service was also good. Would definitely return here.

What’s not to love with Immerse? The moment we stepped in the property, my husband and I knew that it’s the place we would want our wedding to take place. It’s got everything we needed to have a smooth and perfect day. They got indoor/outdoor chapels, surrounding vineyards, restaurant for the reception, and plenty of cabins for you and your guests’ accommodation. The service is completely amazing. We barely felt the staff’s presence while they wee doing their job but still they made sure we got everything we need. Our guests also loved their food. They all felt full and satisfied. The Immerse Wedding team were helpful and kind since the beginning. They helped us manage our event well even we were based overseas while doing all the preps. Thank you, Immerse!

It was a wedding so our food expectations weren't high but it was surprisingly good. The post ceremony snacks - curry puffs, vegetable filled tasty dumplings were so tasty i wanted to ask where they sourced them. The squid was the stand out entree because the pork belly was a bit dry and the vermicelli noodle salad was a tasty addition. Mains included chicken with a creamy sauce and lemon flavoured shredded tender lamb shoulder along with salad, mashed potato and roast beetroot and carrots. I can see how this would be the perfect venue for a lunch/wine tasting. Staff were friendly and attentive . Well done folks.
