Ate in the restaurant first time. Food very tasty and well presented. Not as spicy as expected but the restaurant brought fresh green chillies to add some more heat. Served everything quite quickly so ask if you want some time between courses otherwise your meal is over in no time. Second meal was a takeaway delivered to our holiday cottage.... More
Booked a table on a Saturday night after walking by The Balti a few days earlier. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Our food was very good and there was plenty of it. Other diners around us all had similar generous portions of their choice. Can't fault the food, although as other reviewers mention, prices are slighly higher than other... More
We collected a takeaway on a Saturday night. They do deliver within a 5 mile radius but they had a 90 minute wait that evening. The food was very nice. We had curries, a Balti and naans. The portions were nice & large and we had enough left over to pick at the next day! The restaurant was busy and... More
We continue to travel from Nottingham to Matlock Bath on a regular basis, at least once a month, and have done for many years; the reason superb service, great food and one of the best Indian Restaurants within 20 miles of Nottingham. Great atmosphere, always very, must book in advance. I hope this review doesn't make it more difficult for... More
Seven of us went there yesterday evening. £10.95 for a standard main course was a bit of a shocker and that was for those of us from London way. It is not cheap. On the positive side, the food was well cooked, well presented. The place was very well appointed and clean. The staff were friendly. On the negative side,... More
Very friendly service and lovely food but not quite hitting the five star mark for us, although we have only visited once. Can't say what the meat dishes are like as we are pescatarians. Vegetable dishes were very good and presented very nicely. Not particularly cheap but good quality.
Came away with my boyfriend for the night and called in on the off chance there was a table and there was. The smell of the beautiful lily's they had by the bar greeting us as we walked in. The good was great. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff service was impeccable. Definatly will be eating here again next... More
The takeaway we just had was very strange! It was bland, cut into tiny pieces with all sorts of ingredients mixed/mushed in! Even a chicken tikka masala didn't look/taste as it should. Not cheap either... Very disappointed to say the least!
Went for a friends birthday meal and the staff were fantastic with such a large group of us! Food was delicious. The power went out just as we started our starters and remained off throughout the meal but they served us all the food we ordered, cooked perfectly! Eating by candle light just added to the mood and the staff... More
