Excellent seafood and pizza are the specialties here but they have a full menu. The restaurant was a short drive from our hotel. It is open for lunch and dinner. There is a terrace for eating alfresco. It is a friendly place, the customers are...mostly locals, and the food is great. The price is low, particularly for the very fresh and well cooked fish. Our kids loved this place and so did we.More

Good pizza and wine, the customers are nearly all locals which is meant to be a good sign.. They have a big menu so you need not have pizza. We ate on a patio. Good place.

Outstanding seafood restaurant. Mixed seafood salad , and perfect fresh seabass. The food was perfect. They make their own bread which is so good we asked about it. A good bottle of white and coffee, at remarkably low prices. We ate outside and enjoyed every...aspect of the meal. Enthusiastic service. Very friendly and low-key. A really great place to go In Montalcino.More

local restaurant in a tiny village near Montalcino. It is frequented by the local workers. The food is wonderful and the prices are more than reasonable.

We had seafood salad for starters and then fish (bass) and pizza margherita for mains. Dinner was excellent and inexpensive. The staff were friendly and explained the menu. A great evening! It is a few miles from Montalcino and a lovely drive.

This wonderful fish restaurant was recommended to us by the staff in nearby Castello Banfi where we did a wine tasting. It is a simple trattoria with top-quality inexpensive food. The seafood is fresh (no frozen produce) and very well cooked. The service is friendly and...the atmosphere is very relaxed. It is very inexpensive. We loved our long meal here and we will definitely return if we can.Thank you for a memorable happy time.More

Il Marrucheto is a wonderful seafood restaurant outside Montalcino and probably has the best seafood I have eaten in Tuscany, certainly at the lowest prices. On a recent visit we shared a mixed seafood salad as a starter, then we had spaghetti con vongole (clams)...and spaghetti con frutti di mare (mixed seafood). We all shared a wonderfully fresh perfectly cooked bass, baked in the oven. They had magnificent desserts but we passed! Excellent house white as you would expect in a famous wine-producing area and coffee. Apart from seafood, they also do pizzas and I am sure some non-fish dishes. They have tables and chairs outside under an awning and it must be glorious to eat there on a warm day. The price is well below anything we have paid for a similar meal in Tuscany and was extraordinary good value. Sant'Angelo Scalo is easy to find - follow the signs for Grosseto from Montalcino, and pass through wonderful wine country, including the Banfi Vineyard which is just around the corner from the restaurant. The restaurant is full of local people - always a good sign. The owners who serve at table are a charming young couple. They get their fish from Grosseto which is only 30 miles away. This is a wonderful alternative to eating in Montalcino itself, and the beautiful drive and the food justifies going a little out into the country.More

The owner is a very cute couple. My friends and I were total surprise of having such a good treat in the middle of nowhere in Italy. Little town like this is very friendly and peaceful. The seafood starters are awesome!!!! Definitely recommended!!!

My husband and I keep coming back to this ristorante every time we visit Tuscany. Family ran with excellent food, especially the fish and desserts. They are so friendly here as well. The outside patio is great for dining. They even shared their recipe for...the cheesecake. GINAMOOREMore
