Great service and excellent rustic cuisine at a reasonable price. The terrace boasts amazing views. Just a great place for a long and languid lunch....with lots of good wine.

I visited this restaurant on the advice of a friend from Rome. It turned out to be the best meal of my two week tour of Rome and Tuscany. The food was fantastic, wine delicious and the service excellent. I truly enjoyed every aspect of my visit and recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this wonderful town in the heart... More

Choice of dining rooms, all frequented by native Italians, it must be good! A quick glimpse into the kitchen confirms my suspicion that the cooking is carried out by three or four Nonnas! (Older ladies) Nothing fancy, nothing flash but only good wholesome and local Italian fare.We enjoyed every mouthful! Couldn't keep up with the free wine samples! Don't miss... More

The restaurant looks a bit tired and was quiet. The menu is typical for the area but is cheaper than most. We were a group of 8 and ordered quite a few dishes. They served family style where large platters would come to the table and you'd serve yourself. The rabbit, the brunello chicken, the pasta with truffles and the... More

There is charming view on Tuscany surroundings, very polite and cordially service,we ordered two kind of pasta with tomato and basil sauce, and pasta with porciny mushrooms, and also rabbit stew this one was lower than average, but pastes were o.k. Local white wine was also decent.

I went to Il Moro with my wife and another couple. We had typical mixed tuscan starters (salami, prosciutto, bruschette, pecorino) all good as expected. Then we ordered the pasta dishes and we loved them: pici all'aglione, tagliatelle ai funghi e tartufo - excellent! And they brought additional ricotta & spinach ravioli in butternut squash sugo... superb! Then I ate... More

Liked very much the food and the relaxed informal warm atmosphere (there's a fireplace too). The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the house on tap wine, while they have bottled nice Brunello at fair price: missing a Brunello in Montalcino would be a crime...

Yes, one does eat well here. Great view, menu, wine, and people. Wonderful. Traditional Tuscan kitchen with a little more variety than most.... All prepared as if in Nonna's house.

This is a nice restaurant with a pretty balcony with beautiful view over Montalcino and Tuscan hills surrounding the town. The food was good – nothing to complain about, but honestly speaking, we had expected a little bit more, especially considering that this is not a cheap eatery. The staff was nice, but not very attentive, we had to wait... More
