Wish we had read the review's before we went. Save you money and go somewhere else. The place it's self looks lovely. We went in there was no one to seat us. When they did the table cloth was burnt. We ordered out food. Then we waited and waited and waited. By the time it came I was famished. They... More

There are over 100 restaurants in Platanias I was there for Two weeks and this was easily the worst one I ate in. Yes the setting in nice but the food is God Aweful. Luke warm meat half Raw French fries and very minimal portion sizes. It was nearly the end of the world when I wanted to pay with... More

This place was a big disappointment. As reading the previous reviews, I think it's worth mentioning that one should make difference between the coffee place and the restaurant. The coffee place seems to be nice, bit the restaurant is absolutely the opposite. First, the girl in the front immediately spoke to us in Swedish, which was already a sign. I... More

We popped into this cafe early one morning simply because it looks so beautiful - and it is - the decor is a delight. We had a freddo espresso and orange juice, both were lovely. We didn't eat anything so can't review meals - they have traditional Cretan music nights which we'd like to try next time if we're there... More

Arokaria is a local coffee place that serves nice desserts and homemade refreshments. The architecture of the place is also very nice!

We have been several times to this lovely place. The atmosphere is great, Variety of choice for drink and many snacks. We even listened live music there. The cafe is beautifully furnished with many wooden details. They have good Wi-fi connection as well. The stuff is friendly and polite.

Had a couple of beers here. When we ordered we got a plate of cheese, homemade pickles, tomatoes, different slices of meat. Along with the beers of course. Had a great waiter that was really pleasant and I recommend a stop here to at least rest your legs.

This restaurant isn't entirely bad, but it's totally unremarkable. The place is very nice but the food feels so uninspired. We made the mistake of eating in very popular cretan locations twice, once here and once in Chania. Places like this simply can't compete with more traditional tavernas located in the small villages, where they serve real traditional cretan food... More
