Nice restaurant, especially for one this close to a major tourist sight. I had a soup and salad for lunch. Both were very good and prices were reasonable. Service was also good. A good choice if you’re going to the Rila Monastery.

Fresh and tasty

I will divide my recommendation into two parts 1. the food - the food is very good it’s fresh and tasty. salads sausage trout and chicken steak all consumed very fast 😀 2. Service – the service is very slow till the weather came to...cost about 15 minutes and then also the food we had to wait another 30 minutes after we finishAnother 15 minutes waiting for the check This place is busy and full so I can understand why it’s slow but it was too slow ☹️ Overall I do recommend this placeMore

A good option near Rilski monastery

A midium-size restaurant located just a few kilometers before the entrance to Rila monastery. Trout caught locally and served grilled, was quite acceptable, and cevapi were not that great. Beware that this restaurant may not accept credit cards so count your cash before ordering! Smoking...and non-smoking sections are offered.More

The best restaurant in the area!

This restaurant is a mandatory stop if you're in the Rila Monastery area! Delicious food, decent prices and great service! I highly recommend it!

Very good food and service

Somebody from Sofia recommended us this restaurant and it is, indeed, a great choice for people visiting Rila monastery. The food is tasty, not expensive and the service is very good. Also, very friendly staff.

Lucky find on way to monastery

From the photos already posted, this is definitely where we stopped, but the name on the menu was Restorant Postra (may not be totally correct transcription) - not the one on this listing - I think that was further up the road towards the monastery....Between us had wonderful whole trout; a mixed grill; yummy shepherd's salad to share and the most delicious, fresh sheep's yoghurt for dessert. With a glass of wine each and two expressos, total bill came to 45 Leva.More

The best one on the way to Rila monastery

I never miss a chance to stop there when visiting the monastery and the surroundings. Best choice from their menu are always the fish soup and the trout on a stone plate.
