Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Vegetable salad $20 consists of some lettuce, a sprinkling of rice (or something similar) a bit of onion, 3 slithers of avo, and some pumpkin. I'm sure it's all organic, but it's so over priced - even a slice of sourdough would have helped me...to feel sustained.More

Quaint little cafe set in a pleasant little corner. The homegrown ethos was nice. A fair price paid with an average degree of service. Food looked more than acceptable at a glance to other patrons

Extraordinary food, fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared. We enjoyed a superb breakfast and besides wonderful food, ambience was chilled with some classic jazz playing, staff were friendly, efficient yet unobtrusive, loved the coffee! A new favourite breakfast venue❤️thanks team.

We found this cafe to be very different to the mainstream of cafes. Different in that you will not find the likes of steaks and grills on the menu. The food is more on the "light" side, but that is not a critism. It is...well prepared good food served by cheerful and friendly staff, in a pleasant old building, and with no pressure to "eat up and go" The coffee was greatand the prices good tooMore

I just love coming to Homegrown - the ethical, seasonal, waste free delicious food is so thoughtfully done. The relaxing vibe with Tracey Chapman playing in the background makes for a lovely experience. Well done Sarah - a lot of love and effort in Homegrown....The staff are very friendly too #supportlocal #holidayherethisyearMore

Always fabulous! This was my fourth visit to this great cafe. We live 45 mins away but decided this was a good midway point to meet up with friends. The food never fails to delight! We had the salad with haloumi; fettuccine with pea and...dill; and the chicken focaccia. All excellent and beautifully presented. You can taste the home made goodness from the ingredients sourced from their own garden. The staff are relaxed, helpful and friendly. Perfect for a casual, leisurely lunch. Highly recommendedMore

Came across this cafe while walking around Palmwoods. Its has a lovely look about it with its pretty lane way up the side, filled with lovely potted flowering plants. Which is what drew us in. We arrived at 11.25am & thought we would have a...early lunch as we had worked up an appetite. You order from the front counter before you sit down.. The only menu we could find was on a blackboard, stating 3-4 dishes for lunch. When we went to order we were rudely told, "Lunch does not open till 12" !! so we decided we would go for cake & coffee. 3 cakes to pick from. The girl behind the counter did not smile once while we chatted & placed our order with her. We sat out in the lane, which was just beautiful. Cake arrived first & we all commented on the small size of them for $6.50. Mine especially. It was baked in a loaf tin & was roughly a 1 1/2 cm slice. It tasted lovely, but needed to be a bit bigger.. My friends brownie was very dry & crumbly, had a nice taste, but should have been a bit more moist. The coffee was good, but all coffee arrive bar one. We waited, but had to ask if it was coming. So next time we are in Palmwoods we will probably try one of the other cafes, there are a few to pick from.. Pity.. It does have the upper hand having the pretty out door eating area.More

Great healthy food and subtle village atmosphere in a nursery/ garden setting. Located in the middle of a charming village centre opposite the railway station. Highly recommended the sausages and the eggs Benedict.

We are locals and love this place for weekend breakfasts. Try the french toast or the eggs in tomato dish. Suitable for couples, bigger groups as well as family with kids .

We just found the cafe by chance as we visited the village. Excellent coffee and interesting nibble. I had a Persian love-cake - almonds and pistachios which was delightful. Will return to that find when in the area.

Very nice little cafe, with extra seating in The Lane next to the cafe, and in the Tin Shed behind. There are also gardens, great for kids and pets. Very relaxing atmosphere, you can spend hours there. I usually just have coffee which is delicious....Friendly service. And if you're sitting outside, there's often a cute water dragon hanging out!More

Recently had lunch with a friend and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere in the garden felt more like being in a back yard than a restaurant. The service was friendly and there if needed but left us to chat and enjoy the food without being...interrupted. The menu was minimal but I think most people wold be able to find something. The food was very nice, wholesome, fresh and interesting.More
