What a hidden gem Barrat’s of Tyn Rhyl is. The place has so much history and we had a very warm welcome from Elvira and David. We arrived early but this was not a problem, tea and cakes soon arrived for us. We had dinner...and breakfast and the food cooked by David was simply amazing. He is a fantastic chef. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The property is just a short walk from the town centre. Thank you for welcoming us.More

Exceptional evening spent in the beautiful Barratt’s of Tyn Rhyl. Canapés with a G&T by the ornate fireplace, then into the dining room for a wonderful 3 course meal. Matched with a small but spectacular wine list. Highlight was the deliciously delightful chocolate creme brûlée,...clearly made by a skilled chef. Fabulous evening! Thank you!More

Barratt’s of Tyn Rhyl is a small boutique hotel which is a beautiful listed building with gorgeous period features. It is spotlessly clean and the food is delicious! The room we stayed in was beautiful and the bed was huge and so comfortable. We travelled...from Ireland to take our son to uni in London and booked this guesthouse as a stopover on our return journey to Holyhead. Our return was delayed and we didn’t arrive until after 8pm. Elvira, the owner, was extremely accommodating - she was so busy in the restaurant (which was booked out) but still found the time to have pleasant and friendly conversation and get us set up with a fantastic supper as we were starving. During our stay at Tyn Rhyl we enjoyed several delicious meals prepared by Dave and received first class service from Elvira. After a very long journey the warm welcome and chance to relax in the lovely lounge was just what we needed. Thank you Elvira and Dave, we had a wonderful time at your lovely hotel. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed!More

Went today for the first time for Sunday lunch. What a fantastic house tucked out of the way in Rhyl. We had prawn cocktail and soup to start with. Then welsh lamb and free range pork. All absolutely delicious, well cooked and plentiful. We couldn’t...finish with our desserts so they kindly gave us a ‘doggy bag’ and we enjoyed the best Lemon tart I have ever tasted at home. The pastry was buttery and the lemon filling was superb. I may be using a lot of superlatives but this Sunday lunch was the best value you could ever wish to find.More

We went as a family group of eight for New Years eve dinner, we received a warm and friendly welcome into a warm and cosy reception room. The hors d'oeuvres and champagne hit their mark, then we were invited into a beautifully decorated dining room....The service was perfect, being attentive, friendly and never intrusive. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, everything was delicious and the portions were well judged. A fantastic evening and a great way to welcome the new year.More

They positively encourage children, they were amazing when we took our three grandchildren. They provided smaller portions and even cut them up!Also a high chair. There is usually a fish option.

Our Sunday lunch is set at £18 This is a 3 course meal with choice of 3 starters 3 mains and 3 desserts. Quite often there are other choices included, depending on what the Chef makes on that day.
