Stopped for a bacon bap and a coffee, nice looking cafe and organic looking decor. Bacon and sausages were prepared beforehand and kept on a hot unit, tasted nice enough a little dry as it had been in the unit. Would return.

Really lovely breakfast and freshly homemade bread. Great selection of cakes with huge portion. Cafe is a little disjointed with a number of rooms but a really informal and relaxing atmosphere. Fabulous barn converted area with sofas and a log burner.

There are many good things about the big rock, but undoubtedly the best is the range and quality of bread. Never been to anywhere that comes close. Love bread? Just go there. Wonderful.

Came across the Big Rock Cafe after stopping in Porthmadog to find a cup of tea, was not disappointed. Brilliant cinnamon bun and a tasty smoothie. Please please support places like this and don’t go to Costa!

A brief walk from the train (5-7 minutes)- for a quick lunch during our stopover before the return trip to Ffestiniog. Good selection and variety- even for our vegetarian teen. Quick service, lively- lots of kids- reasonable prices.

Really nicely, well prepared fresh food. We popped in randomly after some of the bakery items caught my eye in the window. Opted for one of the vegetarian Guandos; curried potato, lentils, spinach etc. and the Orange & Cardamon Paska buns (I think that's what...More
