We were lucky to snag a second floor balcony table overlooking the plaza mayor where bull fights are held once a year in July. Fabulous setting in a quain country town only an hour south east on Madrid. The meal was wonderful, especially the grilled artichokes and the ceviche. Beat people watching

If you look for good place to eat in Chinchon forget to find anything closer to value for money. Majority are tourist traps. Maybe this was one the best from the rest. However, it is overpriced for the quality of food that you get. Although the service was really nice. Do not take second course, the first ones are as... More

Although I am vegetarian and prefer refined light food, this place is for the lovers of rather heavy, local specialties and meat dishes the place to go. The restaurant is located on the marvellous town square, worth the time to hang out and bask in the typical ambiance, and is absolutely genuine typical Spanish countryside style. The restaurant is not... More

This restaurant is included in the In and Out Madrid Tour of Madrid Museum Tours but I think it deserves a separate review. It was Sunday, the dining room was full and yet we enjoyed a very friendly personal service. The owner was absolutely spot-on with his recommendations and the traditional food mixed with author's cuisine touches was finger licking.

Almost all the restaurants have the same menu but, based on TA reviews, we picked this one; and it was good. A very nice atmosphere and helpful staff, with very good food. A good pick.

Came for dinner, and wasn't disappointed. We were welcomed with a big smill, that's a good start. After taking the order we received some small starters (excellent lentil garlic soup, meat balls) which is not in the menu. The starter we order were unforgettable. The savicha, the grilled artichoke were excellent. The main dishs also all were very tasty. The... More

Making reservations in English was extremely easy and upon arrival, a warm greeting by the staff. We were fortunate to have one of the balcony tables which is delightful to overlook the square. The dishes were plentiful and the Iberian ham with carmelized onions was the best we've had in Spain. Throughout the afternoon, the wait staff and manager were... More

Contrary to the historical and quaint appearance, the food is modern and sophisticated and delicious. The service is attentive and warm. We were amazed at the great value and would most definitely recommend.

This restaurant was included in our private tour through rural Madrid. Right here we enjoyed an insuperable gourmet menu. Paired wines fit perfectly with each delicious course. Excellent service provided by the owners Myriam and Ruben. It was a memorable lunch and, at the end, we were pleasantly surprised with the best ‘carajillo’ we have ever had. When we return... More

Superb! They spoilt us rotten. I recommend 2-3 smaller dishes to share as starters and a few more to share as mains! The service & chef are amazing!!
