We just had lunch at this typical mallorcan "celler". Our table was next to a big open fireplace and we were well attended. First of all snails, (if you are brave enough to try them you will find them delicious) followed by recently roasted suckling pig and a spectacularly presented codfish.

Celler Es Grop in the lovely and characteristic town of Sineu in Mallorca is a small place down a side street. It's easy to miss and walk by - but better if you don't because it is well worth a visit. The entrance is down some steep steps (not accessible for those with walking difficulties) and the interior is like... More

Absolutely delicious . Matched with wonderful Gambas Ajillo to start. Followed by Solomillo de Cerdo and a bottle of El Cato Rioja . Lovely mallorquin restaurant in the heart of Sineu run by a local family. Part of its charm is that you are surrounded by historical artefacts relevant to the local area and island as a whole. Had an... More

Stopped in Sineu and walked around to find a spot for lunch , came across Es Grop which was busy but not full so we asked and got a great table. Food was excellent (mussels) and we left happy.

usually we eat fish only on the coast side, but in the celler es Grop the fish is fresh and tasty. Try the snails (caracoles) they are outstanding and the Frito mallorquin.

We came here hungry after the Wednesday market. The suckling pig and mixed paella was substantial and delicious. The owners are used to foreign visitors and were very attentive and helpful with the menu. We sat next to the cosy fire and were kept warm! Clearly a hot spot for locals and tourists alike. Highly recommended. they're open early for... More

I've eaten a lot of traditional Mallorquin cuisine, and Es Grop is up there with the best. We had an absolutely stunning lamb shoulder, wonderfully tender and succulent, the best I've ever eaten. Service was attentive and super friendly, prices very reasonable. Oh, and almost as welcome for the end of November...an open fire right in front of the table!... More

My friend and I very much enjoyed our meal at Es Grop. The roast shoulder of lamb and the suckling pig were very tasty. The portions were quite large, so make sure you arrive hungry!
