Recommended by the Parador, and it didn't disappoint. Lovely restaurant in a traditional building. Staff friendly, and helpful describing the menu. All meals freshly prepared and cooked, beautifully presented, and not overpriced.

Walked in at 8pm this evening and were the only ones there until others began arriving at 9pm; in other words, typical Spanish restaurant. My wife ordered the steak filet and I had hake and scallop brochette; both were excellent. She said it was the best she ever had, and having had a bite, I have to agree. As some... More

Recommended by the Parador and just a small stroll down the road. Very pleasant ambiance and lovely old charm decoration - full of atmosphere. Service could not be faulted and the food delicious. We had beef carpaccio, smoked salmon and the Basque style Hake - simply cooked but absolutely enjoyed every mouthful! Can certainly recommend and would visit again without... More

Each time we visit the Parador hotel just along the road ,we dine at this restaurant. The food has been consistently good in charming surroundings. Service can however be a little erratic, though with a smile! It is the partner restaurant of the Parador, the hotel not having a restaurant of its own.

Looking at other reviews perhaps we picked the wrong night! The surly waitress didn't help either. We decided a main and dessert were the required options my husband chose the hake and scallop on a cocktail stick (for that's what it was a large cocktail stick) and I chose the steak with potato galette (it was smaller than a 50... As the Parador up the road did not serve dinner, we ended up here. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, especially the hake and scallop brochette.

An absolute find in the walled town. The ambience was lovely in a fascinating historic building, with beautiful decor and warm cosy atmosphere. The food was outstanding and the service friendly and accommodating. Very Basque in its style of cooking with local ingredients. The iberico ham and baked hake outstanding. Also highly recommend the lemon sorbet mojito dessert. Very glad... More
