Tucked away in a small village not far from Coimbra, this restaurant is an incredible value for the money! The portions were gigantic and would have happily been shared by 2 people. It came with so many side dishes, it was impossible to finish them...all! Even though they do not have anything vegetarian on the menu, they made a salad and big omelet. Everything was fresh and delicious! The waiter did not speak English, but we managed to communicate in French. Highly recommended!More

Difficult to find but totally worth it. You can seat either inside or outside but in a summer night, the outside tables are just amazing. The service is a bit slow but the food is fantastic. Simple grilled meat but delicious. Beef and Pork are...the specialities. We tried the Misto à Casqueira (mixed grill) and 4 portions were more than enough for 5 persons. Fantastic. The house wine was not good at all so next time I will just have a wine from the list. Price was about 15€... great bargain!More
