Strategically located on the road side in Mealhada (where this kind of piglet dish is originally from) this restaurant is a restaurant along the road with an old simple decor. Don't expect much from the restaurant looks just concentrate on the food. It’s not the...kind of restaurant where you'll go for a fast meal but the food is good and you’ll mainly see around locals and other Portuguese coming for the piglet. For those who are not meat lovers they also serve fish (although none of us tried it). It’s good for lunch/dinner, with friends, business or even for families with children although I believe it can get a bit loud (we already went close to 15h so it was quiet). The wine menu is rather poor although for the piglet you should just try the local "frizzante" - castiço. There’s no wifi and the waiters are friendly and service is ok.More

Very soft and tender Leitão! Best that we have eaten so far. Restaurant, location, service was all very good! Very large portion. Clear recommendation! But to Excellent details missing here and there.
