This place was recommended by the owner of the Balestrand Hotel, where I was staying. He said "You'll love it IF you can get a seat". The place was packed, but I was traveling solo, and so a nice American couple offered me a seat...More

Great little place. Quirky..only small with a handful of tables but lovely homecooked vegetarian burgers and cheese and spinach tarte consumed by us. Explore the art, the upstairs and the solar dome. Great place run by husband and wife artists ..def recommend.

My wife and I had dinner at this funky but wonderful restaurant in Balestrand. I had the fish soup and my wife had the Troll/mushroom soup. The owner stopped by to visit and we learned a lot about the restaurant and Balestrand. A wonderful meal.

Went here for lunch during a stay in Balestrand. Had a good meal, but the staff and location is the most memorable part. Nice, family run place, friendly staff and owner. Have a look in the adjacent gallery for the art of the couple that...More
