We visited on a Saturday evening and the pub was busy, good atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious. The fish was excellent. It is quite expensive but probably no more so than other places within the area.
Our experience during the regatta was excellent. Food good and prompt, chowder excellent. Drinks flowing and staff that know how to have a laugh yet be professional. It's a kitchen not fine dining, and reasonable too.
Lovely food, but such a delay between courses.... would have liked to have dessert and coffee, seeing as the starters and main courses were so good, but 20 mins after getting dessert menu, still no show of staff to take the order. The table next...More

Had a very tasty lunch, and spent the afternoon having business meetings in the beer garden, which is more of a courtyard...but it had sun and was quite. We also ended up having dinner there and the food was excellent as was the service.

A group of us had dinner here. The choice was good I had the pepper steak and it was delicious.. very good service. Overall we all had a great night.
