Stayed in the Old Town for a week and tried most of the taverna's (Sa Giorgio, Oda's) in the area and Stablos's was our favourite. A bit more expensive than the others; 46 for a meal for two with house wine, but worth it for choice of menu (which included sardines, my favourite), quality of food and complimentary garlic bread... Mezze!! Don't doubt it! This is quite a beautiful restaurant in the heart of the old village in Malia. The server/owner was super welcoming and the atmosphere was just perfect! House wine was nice, and their tapas (mezze) are to die for! We ordered 5 dishes and left full (there was a complimentary ouzo and dessert!) prices are good! Don't... More

We didn't ask for a particular wine, just a medium rose but what came was lovely. The starter arrived quite quickly, I had the... More

Beautiful food, excellent service. A must visit restaurant. Comprehensive menu , traditional food, multi lingual, nothing was too much trouble. Not the cheapest but worth the experience.

Tried to eat at this restaurant, but was turned away as they were apparently busy, even though there were loads of empty tables with reserved signs. Explained that we would be quick at eating, as we had children and they needed to be fed, but they would not give us a table, even though one of the reservations was in... More

Elizabeth & Stablos is fab traditional Greek restaurant in the old village of Malia. I had a meal here with some friends, and we decided to create a meze style meal by picking 14ish dishes from the starter menu for the 7 of us. The food was great, as was the service. We were there for well over 3 hours,... More
