Just been here for lunch. Superb shady setting amongst the chestnut trees & water fountain. Excellent service & lovely to have a such a pleasant waitress with a smile. They don't do a 'menu enfant' but will happily offer some kind of meat with either chips or pasta. The set menu, 2 courses for €18.50, was excellent. A very enjoyable... More

We went to Les Marronniers as a group of six ladies, as locals we had often thought the restaurant looked very nice and so decided to try it. Although it was April, it was a chilly evening, not only outside but also inside the restaurant! When we asked for a smaller table as two of our booked group had to... More

Despite the usual French countryside insistance of " non parlais Anglais" (when will this nonsense ever stop?! ) the waitress had a change of heart and turned out to be quite helpful. The food was very good, and the atmoshpere pleasant. The set menu was good value for money, and the wines reasonably priced.

If you want a a real French experience with great food. This restaurant was recommended by a local for lunch. It was full of locals, the waitress spoke no English but was very friendly and went out of her way to help us with the French menu. Our meal was delicious and good value for money, portions are generous.

I didn't think it was really worth spending a lot of time on this review so I've summarised in bullet points. 1. Do you have a reservation? There was no-one else in the place. 2. The bread was stale 3. The waitress had a face like a wet weekend 4. Starters/Tapas were overpriced 5. The table for two was too... More

We dropped in to Les Marroniers quite late and at short notice. The restaurant were really helpful in accommodating our party of 8. Good atmosphere and very pleasant environment. Water feature could be heard trickling when noise subsided. The menu is brought round on a chalk board, difficult for a party of 8 to see (and translate) at once so... More

I read the reviews before going to this restaurant- I've passed it many times over the years and it's always fully booked with locals. YES, the owner is grumpy and even though he does speak English, he won't!!! But we eventually had a lovely waitress who explained the menu. Great atmosphere, authentic food, good value. Dig your heals in and... More

This restaurant does not serve haute cuisine, but nor is it ordinary cooking. It is superb authentic dishes that you receive, with proper sized portions. The setting is an old, almost run down, house and courtyard, behind xanadu gates, just on the edge of the centre of Pezenas. There are two dining rooms, one with a lively bar, behind which... More

Situated on the main Broccante/ antiques road, just outside the very centre of Pezenas lies the dream resaurant! Full of Character, atmospheric and serving the most delicious food. We sat outside in the front garden on a lovely warm, early summer's evening, Take a peak inside - so cosy and inviting. Specialising in Mediterranean, Spanish and Catalan cuisine; we chose... More
