They admit that their bread is baked every 3 days so you need to be lucky. The western food is overpriced, especially if you taste the freshness and the quality of the used ingredients. This place is everything except a recommendation. The travel agency in the same building is amazing, but definitely don't stay for breakfast, lunch or dinner... Oh,... More

This is where most travellers end up when arriving at Chumphon, they can arrange day trips in the area and transport around the country and to Koh Tao and the airport, so its a really useful place to go if your travelling south by train or flying into Chumphon airport.

Terrible food. Over priced. Will not return. Bruchetta with anchovies made me sick almost immediately. Spring rolls were reheated and awfull rubbish. Beer was safe thank god. Stay clear of this dump if you don't want to give the next day bum peeing.

We almost always stop in Fame on the way to and from our home in Koh Tao. The folks are friendly, the coffee is great and the food is excellent.

Fame is a good place for meeting up with fellow backpackers very near train station. Fame can deal with all your bookings for islands in koh Tao etc, place to bed down, transport and more. Staff are re helpful. Good selection of food European and Thai. When you have had a long train or coach journey good place to stop.

If you are just arriving from the train and need somewhere to refresh, grab some wifi and have a quick bite to eat. Fame Cafe is a great choice. The menu is expansive and the food is all reasonably priced. There are tour guides to provide you with info on Chumphon and beyond. If not, the wifi is fast and... More

We saw rats both in the dining-area and in the bathroom. The fame tours bus stops at this location when taking the van from Chumpon to Bangkok. Before we saw the rats we ordered fochacia with tomato and mozeralla. The bread was though days old ans very dry.

I had been to Fame twice before on previous bike trips down the coast. I had fond memories of delicious bread, reasonably priced food, and kind staff. The bread was fluff and air instead of dense, chewiness. The food was overpriced. The staff were uninterested. I will search out a different cafe next time I am in town.

We had several hours to spare while waiting for a train back to Bangkok, and spent those hours enjoying this little cafe. Free Wifi, and the staff were very accommodating. There were even showers they let us use. Food and drinks were decent and affordable. Easy walk from the train station.
