A really cozy place in the middle of Ella, which is open all day and serves both breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were there once for lunch and once for dinner. We got really delicious food both times and they have a fine varied menu with both local and international dishes The place has tables both on the ground floor and on the first floor. We sat on the first floor when we were there in the evening it was very cozyly decorated which created a good atmosphere and even though it was completely crowded, the waiters had time and surplus to smile and smalltalk. Rasika was our servant this evening and he did it super well, had good humor and could even some Danish phrases. A really good place with food and drink at fair prices.

I really wonder how come this restaurant is so highly rated and why all the hotel folks in Ella recommend to go there. We had a horrible experience from the very first moment when we entered the restaurant… We were directed upstairs by the staff at the entrance and as soon as we climbed the stairs, we realized that the waiters are not happy about having to deal with the customers - they ignored us and a couple of other people that followed us upstairs, deliberately looking the other way when we tried to approach any of them. We got a few short rude responses sending us back downstairs where we waited another 15 min when the staff was frantically moving the tables around and ignoring several confused customers waiting to be seated. We finally got a table, ordered a few local dishes which were average and definitely not worth to stay. We do not recommend - better go elsewhere, there are many nice restaurants down the street where the staff is actually welcoming and the food is much better.

We had to wait for about hour to be seated. There was a long que. But the good part was that they offered everyone who was waiting a passion fruit drink which tasted good. We ordered Chicken Snitzel and chicken fiest burger. Chicken Snitzel was good but chicken burger was bland. For drinks we ordered watermelon splasssh and pomegranate juice that were just okay. The ambiance was nice but some street dogs were coming in and out very frequently and howling outside. Rest the interior was good. Staff was friendly and service was quick as well.

Large restaurant (3 floors). Good service and friendly. The food is delicious but it is more international than local, so don't look for many typical dishes (there are some). Two dishes, dessert, a beer and two sprites about 18 euros (10% tip that is already included when they bring you the bill)

Check the bill! This restaurant often puts more on the bill than was actually ordered!!! Simply a rip-off! We were warned that this often happens there, and we were actually charged twice for drinks.
We sat upstairs, right by the railing you have a good view of the busy street. Overall it was just very, very loud so you couldn't have a good conversation. We had a reservation, which was necessary because in the evening tourists line up to eat there.
The food was OK. Rather mediocre.
The service was neither particularly attentive nor quick. We were there with two children who ended up falling asleep in our arms at the table, and yet it took over 20 minutes for the bill to be brought to us.
I absolutely cannot understand why this restaurant is so popular.

Great place to chill, Customer service and food. Romesh assisted us greatly and offered suggestions and customised breakfast where possible to greater extent at the same price.
The place was filled with subtle music suited for the time and weather which is much appreciated.

The best place of European level and service in Yella, everything is very tasty, light and lively atmosphere, music, always a lot of people (it is advisable to make a reservation in advance), but we came without and waited a little. We were always served by the cheerful and courteous waiter Vidal Shanaka, who found us good tables and helped us decide on the menu. We only went to this place for a week and did not regret it. I recommend trying the Sri Lankan dish - rice with chicken, wrapped in a banana leaf; I also really liked the seafood pasta. Many people praise the burgers. The food in the restaurant was OK - the food was no longer warm and tasted boring.
Unfortunately, the service was not good. The waitresses were not attentive and it took a long time for the orders to arrive. In addition, after asking several times, it took 20 minutes for us to get the bill, which was also wrong. We were charged too many drinks. The correction then took a while.

Great atmosphere upstairs, yet music not too loud to stifle conversation (left at 8:30pm). Very busy, but staff quickly found us a table near the front.
Shared starters (Bruschetta + Falafel & Hummus (very small)) + Chicken lumprais main very good. However, Dear Cod x 2 & Devil Fish were overcooked, or more probably just reheated.
Bottle of red wine never arrived despite 2 reminders, so cancelled once mains finished.
Ultimately kitchens and staff probably can’t cope when busy.
