Delicious Authentic Srilanka food

Delicious Authentic and honest Sri Lankan food. The host is very friendly and you feel like home. Not to forget the beautiful view over the Ella valley.

Very good welcome

All the familly of the owner will take care of you. Apreciate a noodle dinner made by the mummy and her daugthers, very good. Fully recommend, especially with this very nice view.

What a great souvenir!!!

We had the chance to join a cooking class with the cook and the Mom of the Hotel, who taught us how to make real Sri Lanka Curry! That was one of the best thing we could do in Ella. We even learned some words...in Singhalese while making the food. With a stunning view from the terrace we had our Dinner and can hopefully remember the receipe to cook it again, when we are back at home. What a lovely stay - thank you so much!More

Holidays in Sri Lanka

Wonderful place and amazing food. I can certainly recommend Lucky Star not only for best views of Ella Rock but for food and hospitality. Wonderful people. 5 stars!

Excellent cooking class

Excellent cooking class done by the chef and the owner. We had a great time and fantastic food and can recommend the place.

Tasty food and cooking class

We went for the free cooking class (you pay for the food but not the class, around 600 rps per person) and cooked some great curry. Very helpful owner and chef. The view from the terrace is beautiful - you can see Ella Rock, the...waterfall and the little adam's peak. Portions are big and ingredients very fresh. Worth the walk or tuk tuk from the centre for some peaceful and stunning views! Also serving beer.More

Beautiful restaurant with the most amazing view

Wije, the owner, was incredible. So very accommodating. We took part in the cooking class with four other guests. I leant a lot of tips and tricks about Sri Lanka cooking. The food was amazing. The views were even better !

The best food with the best views!!

We took part in the cookery class and made the most amazing food! Definitely the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka so far!

Hidden treasure of Ella

Authentic outstanding food with the most breathtaking view!

We‘ve been traveling and endulging in Sri Lankan food for three weeks and now found our favourite place at Lucky Star Restaurant: delicious homecooked fresh food made with love by ingredients from the family‘s own vegetable garden and local products. By far the most friendly,...welcoming and lovely hosts! After the first dinner we felt like part of the family and immediately decided to come back for a second dinner! Also, we were so lucky we were even able to have a private cooking class with the owners and had so much fun learning to prepare this wonderful food. And all of this while enjoying the most breathtaking view on Ella‘s Rock, Little Adam‘s peak, teaplantations and waterfalls. It‘s a little off the busy centre, but absolutely worth the way!! We will be back :)More
