After experiencing some very good value meals at other restaurants in Nungwi, we decided to see what we would get by paying at little more. After deciding on Flame tree restaurant which has a nice location on the beach, we were extremely disappointed. I decided on the special of the day which was herb crusted fish, steamed veg and sweet... More

Position of this restaurant is just amazing. Right by the beach, tables in the sand, candle light and sea views and sounds.... Add to that delicious food and kind waiters and you'll have a great night out. Took beef steak, perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Place to recommend.

I was wondering if the chef was Mexican... because everything that we ordered was chilly .... was hot hot hot even the bruschetta. Expensive place without good food. You can find better places in nungwi.

That is a good and nice restaurant in the compound of flame tree cottage. You sit directly at the ocean and can watch the sun go down. A bit higher then the beach. The service was very friendly and the food really good with tuna curry and a spicy salad as a starter. Will go again to the small but... More

After visiting a number of restaurants along the beach this had by far the best setting, nicest staff, really well cooked food and everything we had from salads to the catch of the day were delicious. Highly recommended for a sunset drink followed by candlelight dinner!

Good food. Great location. Portion size of husband's seafood very small. Owner (Seif) very pleasant man and gave us 20% discount because of that and entertained us with stories of Zanzibar and his family. Will definitely visit again as Seif very welcoming and lovely.

Food is really good with varied menu. Had lunch and diner here. Setting is great on the beach. No music, Just the sound of the waves. Staff is very friendly. Food is reasonably priced. Might take a bit longer but you're on zanzibar. Pole pole and hakuna matata.

Lovely, tasty food! Nice service although it takes a while to get the food (as anywhere). It's a cozy place with a fantastic view of the sunset. It is in the quiet end on Nungwi beach away from the bigger places blasting club music. Very good!

The only place in Nungwi where we could find profi tuna salad during our 14 day stay and delicious crayfish. The location under African pine trees is comfortable both in the daytime and in the evening.
