We ate here while staying in Twizel. Good wholesome food, pleasant staff, nice wine list. Unfortunately the venison pie is off the menu but there are plenty of good choices on the menu. Reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

This cafe is near to the start of the town and was a welcome sight for a cool drink. The staff were pleasant but not very attentive as they were busy. The food was very average but filled a hole.

We stopped here on our way from Queenstown to Fairlie for a bite to eat. It was fairly busy but managed to find a free table outside. My partner had the salmon salad which he said was delicious and I had the lamb pita - very tasty. The service was good and we had a very enjoyable lunch.

It pays to make a reservation as this is a popular place , and now we know why. First rate service and excellent food. We had the Crispy Prawns and Cured Salmon starters and both had the Crispy Pork Belly for the main. Only one issue , the Crispy was missing!!! but this did not detract from a wonderfully cooked... Stopped by this cafe on the way from Queenstown to Mount Cook area. We had the Salmon salad, the fish & chips and two of the organic fruit juices. All were faultless and the staff were very attentive and smiley. The Salmon salad was done dairy-free as requested and it's absolutely delicious for an eater who dislikes salad. This place... More

Reservation is a must in this place. Diner was wonderful, we ordered the salmon on a spinach salad, with pumpkin and other veggies of the season. We even had the nice surprise to find one of the (impressively efficient) waitress who spoke french, in Twizel !!!! I would give the chef and the personnel who serve a 21/20 and would... More

Great place to stop and have a break on our way to Dunedin from Lake Tekapo. Room for the kids to play cricket. I had the salmon salad which was scrumptious. Lamb salad and pAncakes were delicious. Maybe a bit steep in price my salad was $25 however I didn't mind paying that price for great food. Service was exceptional... More

Stopped here for some refreshments and light lunch. What a pleasant surprise. A nice spacious cafe with table service. The service was super efficient and the staff very frinedly. The BLT was excellent, nice strong coffee too. Definetly worth a stop.

Even though we did not have a booking we were were welcomed and shown to a lovely table in the outdoor area of the cafe. The staff were very polite, informed about menu choices and options and attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and well presented. The serving sizes were just right for two tired and... More
