It was a showery lunch time so I stopped to have a pint and a snack. I ordered the pate, which was out of this world. Crisp toast neatly wrapped in a napkin, good old fashioned butter in a dish, the course pate just crumbled on to the toast and melted in your month.

My sister and I came here for supper last night. I had chips and a salad while my sister opted for the haddock. We were very impressed, the chips were most delicious and cooked to perfection. My sister asked for coleslaw to be added to her meal instead of a tomato and the staff were more than happy to oblige.... More

I have recently moved to framsden, I often pop into the Doberman for a lunch and a glass of the house dry white wine, which by the way is the best I have tasted for a long time. Ihave got to know sue the landlady quite well and she has introduced me to lots of the locals, which has made... More

After taking notice of the beautiful day outside, me and my husband decided to go for a pub lunch. Ended up and the Doberman, and honestly it's the best thing that could've happened. We were served by a charming young waiter, who made sure we had everything we wanted throughout the meal. The food was brought out quickly, and seemed... More

We booked a meal for 3 people must admit it was early in the week and no one was about but I can honestly say it was worst meal I have ever had, the vegetables we obviously cooked a lot earlier and re-heated in a microwave, the potato's were hard and the steak was tough, judging by some of the... Moved to this area about a year ago and thought we had found all the local pubs to have a meal in but we had missed this one tucked away off the beaten track in the pretty village of Framsden. The pub itself is also very pretty with its thatched roof and once inside the wealth of beams and large... More

This is one of the last proper traditional pubs around and is quite simply special. A thatched, listed building set in a beautiful village amongst rolling countryside you will not see another car go by. The landlady has been here for 30 years and knows what she is doing. No it doesn't have 10 continental lagers on tap or even... More

The Doberman Inn is the epitome of the English country pub - small, oak beams and a roaring fire (even in early Spring) and a bit quirky. Don't expect silver service because you won't get it, however the staff are very friendly. The menu was typically English, with a good choice and the food and choice of real ales was... More
