Everything we ate here was perfect and we returned to have the same again the next night. Tom Yam soup with fresh fish and sticky rice with mango were our favorite meals. The family who runs this place is great. A.M.D. refers to the daughters name. Go

We visited A.M.D. Restaurant for lunch on a wet and rainy day in Vang Vieng. We were greeted with a family of cheery faces and a table of lovely food upon order. We had a variety of food off the menu which was all extremely delicious, cooked and served fresh and within a timely manner. Pricing was very reasonable. If... More

Cute young family who runs this restaurant. From the outside it doesn't looks very attractive but be prepared to be amazed by the excellent food. Everything is freshly made, cocktails with handsquized oranges and everything served with a smile. We ate here the pad thai 3days in a row and it was delicious everytime.

Food is pretty much the same in most of Vang Vieng, when it comes to Laos and Thai curries, or miscellaneous generic European food. Curries taste reasonably ok, not mind blowing I must say. Don't take a look at the kitchen if you care about the hygiene.

This was as good as the previous TA reviews suggest. Food was fresh and light with fantastic flavour - service was friendly. Highly recommended.

Just had dinner at AMD as we managed to find where it was on the main road just past the toll bridge over the Nam Song. The food was very good, fresh and reasonably priced. All served and cooked by the family/owners. Wish we had found it earlier as we had some bad meals in Vang Vieng. It's not in... More

... at very reasonable prices. I particularly recommend the spicy fried fish, green bean salad and the chicken laab. As other reviews have noted, there is just the one cook in a small kitchen, and each dish is prepared fresh, so the food may take a while, but it's definitely worth it. Service is friendly and pleasant. Great music too!
