Amazing ambience, good food served hot and on a wooden plate/platter. Watch out for the colobus monkeys, they are cheeky and can snatch a meal off your plate..the fish is great.

After quite a long trek up from Nairobi and an over-long BA flight from Heathrow (aircraft tech on ground for 2 hours before we even left...11 hour flt in total), the Trout Tree where we were met by our Daughter & family was an oasis of peace in a fig tree! The calming running water of the trout farm and... More

We had a great lunch in this quirky open air restaurant just outside My Kenya reserve. We'd walked up the hills with a guide to the place where the Mau Mau hid from the British army and made it to this place before it rained. Great menu. Lots of monkeys around in the forest.

Still our best place for fish. Nothing like Spicy grilled trout on a lazy hot sunday afternoon. Once you have the trout there is no turning back - you're hooked - just like the fish - forever

If you are on the road from Nbo to Nanyuki, you have to stop here - how many restaurants are there in the world where you climb into a tree house and eat trout with Colobus monkeys swinging in the trees around you? Added to that, the trout is delicious - especially the trout curry.

The setting is great, a real jewel. The food is good, however this could be after waiting for a longtime you are happy to see your food finally arrive. One of the best areas going towards Samburu.

We went to Trout Tree yesterday lunch time, nobody to welcome us at the entrance, and then they said they had no trout, and then said they have trout but only served in a platter! Good upselling, but not value if you are single! The pizzas were good enough, the platter was OK, but the place looked as if it... More

We stopped off at Trout Tree en route to Samburu. Even though they weren't officially open yet we were able to have a coffee and some cake! Lovely views and very helpful staff. Thank you!
