Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped at Saunders on Friday coming back from a day trip. All employees had face coverings as well as shoppers. Have been there a few times, always finding store bright and clean. Great atmosphere for shopping. Wish we would have taken a cooler as the price of boneless skinless chicken breast alone would have made the drive worthwhile. Love their baked goods, jellies, freshly made chef salads, and meat selections. I always browse the books, puzzles, and gift section for unique gifts. The ice cream cones / dish sizes are very generous. A fun place to shop!

Great store with many interesting and unusual items. Did not try cafe which is mainly a soup, sub and salad shop. Prices on most things are about the same or a little higher than other markets, but locally grown produce is mostly top quality. Great variety of cheeses at lower than average prices. Some are real bargains. I can confirm that staff does NOT wear masks and neither do 80% of customers.

We stopped here on our way to Canadaguia Lake just to see what it was about. My sister in law loves to take a drive here when she runs out of special cooking items or spices. It's I believe run by the Amish and the unique thing is that the items are bagged by ounces or half pound in bulk all different sized packages like gelatin, soup mixes, spices, noodles, dips, baking supplies, and then they have a baked goods section yummy. There was also a section of books and wooden signs, quilts, a few wooden made items and then of course your fruit veggies and meats which I thought were over priced home grown or not. They also had jams, jellies, pickles, relishes etc etc etc. We purchased a few small things and as we were headed to the check out we seen a small deli where they make sandwichs and there was a dining area you could eat in. From what I could see the sandwichs were pretty good sized and I believe a large was only $6.99 When we walked out there was also a furniture store in the next building that had homemade patio sets, wagons some outdoor flower pot iron holders and inside was regular furniture chaise, coffee tables, beds etc etc I would assume this store is used by all the locals for their everyday needs as it literally had everything a regular store has only much more variety It was fun but not something I would do all the time

This was our second visit to Saunders. You could easily spend a few hours here. They have outdoor furniture for sale at the side of their store along with their huge store. I bought a red wooden cardinal bird feeder for my mother along with baked goods, spices, pancake mixes, and fruits/vegetables. The store is spotless and well attended to with its hard workers. Went back into the store after putting my items in my vehicle and ordered a large sandwich for my husband and a dinner salad for myself to go. The roast beef sandwich was huge as was my salad. Visit if you can as there are so many assorted items for sale and the employees are all helpful and hard working.

Stopped here in Seneca Falls on our way to wine country to pick up some snacks. Could not resist their canned item section and ended up leaving with a large selection of jams and jellies. Picked up some local made cheese curds and sweet rolls, both items were excellent. If in a Seneca Falls you need to as Sanders on you list of locations to visit

This facility is owned and operated by the Mennonite Community in the area. Very well maintained, with a variety of items. Meats, cheeses and grocery items. Many local jarred condiments, candies and baked goods. There is a small cafe inside the store that serves food. There are also hand made crafts such as tables, chairs and garden ornaments. I could go on, but you need to experience it yourself if in the area. We were staying nearby and were recommended to visit. We were told visitors drive from hours away in the area to visit this establishment. We enjoyed our visit. Ample parking onsite. Recommended.

There’s a review claiming this store is a super spreader forCovid. That Mennonites don’t get vaccinated. Let’s just say sweeping generalizations about any group is a dangerous thing. Mennonites do use medical care and get vaccinated. Some mennonites even go to medical school. Prejudice is so hard to fight. When I visited Sauders the last time (and I go often) employees were wearing masks and gloves in the lunch room, bakery and deli areas. Many many shoppers were not wearing masks even though it’s suggested. These are difficult times for everyone. Let’s keep our prejudice in our pockets and use our fear as energy to make things better for everyone.

This store has everything, including fresh baked goods, meats, homemade jams, and cheese. We bought a loaf of honey oatmeal bread which he had some of for breakfast the next morning, along with a jar of strawberry-thubarb jam. Delicious. Also had strawberry-rhubarb pie and an apple dumpling. Yummy!

As someone else commented in December 2021, the employees at this store are not masked. We went today, in the middle of the week, knowing that we would make a quick trip in and out, and to avoid the crowds this place tends to get on weekends. Most customers we saw were also masked, but not all. This store has a decent selection of freshly baked pastries. They also have a large variety of pickled canned goods, jams & jellies, bulk spices, bulk baking supplies, bulk candies, freshly made peanut butter, grocery store items of eggs, milk, meats, fresh fruit and vegetables, a large deli, pre-packaged salads & soups, coffee, and crafty gift items. There is also an in-house café that we have yet to try. The employees we encountered were friendly and efficient.

This place is a WOW! Sauders Store is an genuine Mennonite country store that is packed with fresh produce, bulk packaged goods, Pennsylvania German meats and cheeses along with specialty products for the Mennonite community. The baking and spice sections of the store are extensive and inexpensive from a spectrum of sanding sugars, bags of dried cherries, apricots and mangos, to gummy candy anythings. Their deli is not to be missed. Lots of John Martin cold cuts and smoked pork chops and ham hocks (for soups) not to mention local sausages from Hoffmanns. And the prices are unbeatable (really).

The cafe food was OUTSTANDING! the store was great lots of goodies fresh meats vegies etc. My only suggestion is maybe being able to sample some of the food offered, just small bite size things that are seasonal to encourage buyers.. but i had a great time !!! Look forward to going back!!! 😊

Just visited this store. Had never heard of it and we were referred by the Missionaries in Palmyra. For those who are into the masks, masks were worn by all the staff at the store. So many items in this store and the quilts were beautiful. I opted for a wrap sandwich. This sandwich surpasses any subway, jersey mikes, etc. It was awesome sauce! Had the fries with the wrap. So delicious. The teenager with me ate all the fries made with real potatoes. We will head back here again!

The subs are very nicely stuffed with a decent amount of meat and an extra lot of vegetables and assorted dressing and condiments. The problem this visit was that the sub bread was very dry and almost stale. The Asparagus soup was tasty, but overly cheesy and not enough asparagus. The staff are very pleasant and kind. The entire eating area was very clean and constantly being washed down. I so appreciate a clean bathroom, as well. We did not order the salads, but they looked wonderful.

We stopped here to grab subs when we went to Buttermilk Falls and Taughannock Falls State Park for the day. Great selection and prices and very good. We got lots of stuff to eat while we were staying at Owasco Lake for 2 weeks and a bunch of jams, jellies and sauces to take home. If I lived nearby, I would come here at least once a month.

We look forward to going to Sauders every time we return to New York. I always stock up on their bulk spices and don't buy them anywhere else. Prices for spices are fantastic. Also love their jellies, sauces and fresh meats, especially their maple pork breakfast sausage!
