We just left lunch at Boswell's across the street and noticed the bakery. Neither my wife nor I can pass the smell of fresh baked goods so we were drawn across the street. The selection was fantastic and everything looked great, even though we were pleasantly full from lunch. What began as a purchase of a loaf of bread ended... More

This is the best bakery. I've been going there for years. Always a great selection at a good price..Clean, friendly and plenty of on street parking. It's a gem.

All of their pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins and bear claws are wonderful IOn the spring they make hot cross buns and these are far syperiior tot he ones grocery stores sell locally. I find their bread is too soft and I'd rather get Blue Oven from the outdoor Farmers' Market held Wednesdays near by.

I do not recommend the donuts. They are heavy and greasy. We tried their special klunks and they tasted like fried food that sat in the fryer too long.

Stumbled by this bakery while looking for a business in North side. When we opened the door and saw the bakery items in the cases, we were taken back to 1950 when bakeries still produced quality yeast dough. There were so many items to choose from that tempted our taste buds. I got a raspberry Danish and a donut, my... More

I visited Volz's as a kid (my Aunt & Uncle lived a couple houses up). It was incredible then and Bonomini's is incredible now. Northside has several gems that are worth every penny spent: Bluejay,s, Putz's and of course, Bonomini's.

Remember when every 'hood had its own bakery? Today, there are only a few, and Bonomini is like what we remember. The bread is nice and yeasty, cakes are hand-decorated, and the pastries are to die for. Be sure to try the apple fritters -- specially if you need to add a bit of meat to the bones . .... More

I use to love Bonmini Bakery until this past Friday. The cake bakers was very nasty, rude and unprofessional. They demonstrated thier nasty behavior in front of my 13 year old granddaughter. I was so embarrassed to witnessed such behavior. They came into the banquet hall without speaking and they begin to argue with me in front of staff and... More

Early in the morning on Blue Rock St., you can smell the bakery. You still don't know what a feast is in store. It was first time, the coffee was black, hot, rich, and so enjoyable.I ordered my eggs over medium (I always get scrambled). Crisp bacon (never order meat for breakfast).Home Fries, Rye Toast & Blackberry Jam, Orange Juice and... More

I would encourage you to try the Glazed Klunkers. (Glazed Klunkers are fried cake donuts). Klunkers are also sold as plain cake donuts, as well as, white powdered cake donuts. Try to arrive prior to early if you would like to try the Klunkers. Klunkers are typically sold out by 12:00 noon.
