As somebody used to very good Mexican food in the Bay Area, I am surprised by the bad reviews Habanero. I visited the place three times in my ten days stay in Cincinnati, I tried several tacos and burritos and each time was satisfied with their high quality in terms of taste and flavor. The place is very clean and... More

First time visiting on a recommendation; loved this place. Staff was super friendly and accomodating, especially since we had no idea what to order. Ended up with the Baja Fish Taco Platter (some of the best fish tacos I've ever had) and a Quesadilla that was so big it was falling off the plate. They also had some cool local... More

The food was, well, edible and it didn't make me ill, but that's about the best I could say about it. It didn't suck, but it sure wasn't worth the trip - bland, really uninteresting, more like cheap festival or AAA ballpark food. Good if you're really hungry. And you're a dog or a homeless guy that hasn't eaten in... More

i got dragged here by friends twice. the food is quite bland. the tacos are terrible, and the burritos aren't much better. i'm not actually sure if the food is supposed to be caribbean or mexican, but its really nothing special. the restaurant itself is extremely dirty and loud. the restrooms are filthy. i've seen porta potties at carnivals that... Habanero is consistent and good. My family frequently visits Taco Tuesdays for dinner, feature $2 tacos of many varieties. High-energy, efficient staff crank them out. This isn't a destination location in my mind by any means but a good neighborhood staple.

Wow great food and love atmosphere. Burritos are best I've had and chip are good also. Nice place to visit while in town. Near UC campus. Would show pics but food did not last that long.

They seriously have some of the best and freshest salsa around, with housemade chips. I usually get the Calypso Chicken and can never finish it in one sitting. They also have drink specials a few nights of the week, and good margaritas.

Their food is served hot and fresh. My favorite are their homemade tortilla chips and pork chimichangas. Will drive out of my way to eat there.

First and LAST visit! When was the last board of health visit? My mom got the pulled pork burrito and I got the carnitas quesadilla....same meat. I took 3 bites and couldn't handle the grease. The chips were to thick and over fried. Indian is the better option on this part of Ludlow!

"Corporate Burritos Suck" is the mantra behind Habanero, and every employee wears a T-shirt exclaiming their disgust with places like Chipotle and Taco Bell. And Habanero actually WAS an incredible alternative with their fresh, unique Latin American cuisine served in a modern, arty atmosphere. But say "gracias, no" to enjoying a meal there now. The staff, historically a group of... More
