We love this place. We would go more often if it weren't a 40+ minute drive each way. We go for lunch. We love the chicken tikka, salad with raita, nan, and the kheer. We usually choose lunch here for our birthday meals. Nice staff. This place can be crowded, so we go early.

Oh my goodness. The food was delicious. The smells are amazing. I had the Ambar India Special. My friend had the Tandoori chicken. Both of us were very pleased with our meals. I will be back!

Two great chicken dishes, India style with decent wine and very friendly staff. Comfy, clean and not too noisy.

Upon entering Ambars for a late lunch, my wife and I were greeted, albeit a very cool greeting, and "pointed to" our booth seat. No "good afternoon", no "how are you two"...no nothing. A few minutes later our male waiter came, and possessed the same cool persona. No name introduction, no overview of fare, no smile, and a terse "good"... More

Getting sick of all the buffet style Indian joints with cold run of the mill Indian food. . Fortunately the food was up to standard with interesting choices excellent lassi Prices so reasonable you can afford to go whole hog and guzzle everything. a best pick for Cincinnati.

This is the third time I have eaten at this restaurant. It is never crowded and I have no idea why. The food is excellent and the service is even better. If you want some good Indian food this is a great place to go.

Always crowded. Tables close together but excellent food and service. Can't say enough about the quality of the food. Reasonably priced.

We came here after a long day of touring in Cincinnati. The place was empty because it was early dinner. We parked on the street across from the restaurant. We are a family of six ranging in ages. Everyone was happy with the food here.We started with the delicate flaky keema samosa. Then we had family style with the tikka... More

I have been at Ambar for both lunch and dinner. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices are yummy.
