Location and contact

At Bauer Farm Kitchen, we believe in letting the ingredients speak for themselves.Using only high quality, locally sourced, and organic ingredients,Chef Rouse reconstructs a missing foodie culture that has been absent from Cincinnati's culinary world for far too long. The rotating seasonal menu creates a comfortable, yet thought provoking approach to the minimal and traditional cooking methodologies.

The food was good. It was overshadowed by the experience. I would try this Chef again. The service persons were really nice, but the service experience was really uneven. The waiter did not have a good sense of pace of the meal. We also got...More

Truly a dining experience! I recommend starting with a board as appetizer to be shared. So many unique flavors and textures! Food is German and French influenced. Your waitress guides you. You have to be open to trying new dishes. Pear desert board is excellent...More

When you arrive you go downstairs to a very cozy atmosphere. It was decorated with nice winter decorations and smelled like Christmas. We loved the white-washed boards and the ample room to navigate around. And, as someone who checks out bathrooms, Bauer has nice ones....More

Very well-done German classics as well as interesting takes on other European dishes as well. The duck confit pierogies and seasonal sausage sampler were excellent. The spaetzle au gratin was a nice variation on a classic. And those were just the small plates! Next time...More

I really wanted to eat German food when we were visiting Cincinnati for a weekend, so Bauer Farm Kitchen was a no brainer for one of our dinners in town. Unfortunately, the meal was a little underwhelming. Not bad, but just not that memorable? I...More

We stopped in looking for a drink and a place for conversation. The very knowledgeable staff helped in our selection. I had the house brewed bourbon barrel beer. Wow. We had a vegan pretzel I came back later that same evening with another colleague for...More

A great place to have a conversation while eating (noise level is low). The food taste is superb for everything we tried. It was a bit uncomfortable eating our very tasty salad from a large metal bowl. And tricky to figure out the sizes of...More

I was really excited to have dinner at Bauer Farm Kitchen after my parents ate there and raved about it. The location isn't great - walkable from Fountain Square but not really in the heart of the busy downtown area. The dining room is cozy...More

While on business in Cincinnati my client recommended we try this restaurant and overall it was a really fun experience. It’s in the basement in an old building, so just the entry itself is interesting and inviting. Once inside, it’s an unusual mix of NYC...More
